Ah I guess once I run though the story I'll try out the next game.
molefixer  [author] 16 May, 2017 @ 1:29pm
Not this one. I quit working on the dms version shortly after my Berlin version was released.
chris.s.clevenger 14 May, 2017 @ 2:31pm
did it ever get fixed?
molefixer  [author] 16 Feb, 2015 @ 3:46pm
Just a heads up. I am currently working on fixing issues that have popped up since the last HBS update. The gane might freeze on you over half way through it. I am working on it as quickly as possible.
GeeseFX 15 Feb, 2015 @ 10:02am
Ok MFer (funny how if you abbreviate your name it comes out differently ;) ) I'll try the director's cut version.

Usually when people are complaining about a game being too tough it's a good sign that the game is challenging. I wouldn't sweat it unless YOU KNOW you tried to create a game that is a death trap. I always figure that I'd rather die a few times, and be pissed off than get bored because the game is too easy.

I recommend trying to play the Mod A Stich in Time, to get an idea of a well balanced, but challenging battle scape.

Don't let the noobs throw you, challenge them to use a little strategy and skill. I'm going to try and make a big mod soon and I won't be revamping to make it easier once it's done. If shadowrunners didn't die no one would call shadowrun "Dangerous Work". ;)
molefixer  [author] 13 Feb, 2015 @ 11:03pm
Sorry Ronnie I haven't played through it in quite a while. I've been revamping the whole story for the director's cut. It is difficult to balance enemies with what players are running though. I originally had it pretty tough but got lots of complaints. It may be toned down too much now. Not sure. If you have te DC version you may like it better.
GeeseFX 12 Feb, 2015 @ 9:02pm
Can anyone tell me if this gets more challenging than the beginning with the gangers? I don't wanna milk run... I just walked into Ares and started wiping out the guards there too in the first room. I started with around 240 karma for my street samurai.

Thanks
molefixer  [author] 5 Jan, 2015 @ 5:15pm
sorry. I haven't been on this one is quite a while. I have been revamping the story for Director's cut. I will try to check on those bugs ASAP though.

i've just finish the first part and i really enjoyed it. there's a good story the background is coherent and the side characters fits in your world. you can be proud of your production.
however it's not perfect the outdoor levels are not detailed enough (but i've loved the miser realm even if it's imported). it's the same problem with the dialogues, they are too short.

**spoilers**

i've spotted two bugs:
in the mister johnson's side quest you need to open a gate with a decker (belladonna) but i can't do it, the game said i had not the deck skill to do it.
when you have to save firestorm you can talk to a prostitute and propose her to follow you for saving her that does'nt work.

@Kamul-- Entering the scene you start in a hallway. From there go three rooms t your right or east. In the 3rd room you will see computers and a wall monitor. The row of computers past the tables with the sinks has a conversation icon and a yellow waypoint to point to itself. That is the first one to open the next doors. After that you will get into the room that is identical to the one you found the scientist in at ares. The computer in the back of the room is the same way. It has a speech bubble to interact with and a yellow waypoint to point itself out. I just tested it out again and it looks to be working properly. Due to the lighting you may have missed it though.
Kamul 4 Nov, 2014 @ 5:37pm
I'm having troulbes at Yamatetsu Labs. I killed all the sec guards, but the doors are all locked up and there's no visible panel or anything that could allow me to unlock them :S What should I do?
Ryvaken Tadrya 23 Oct, 2014 @ 7:28pm
Getting started and there are some frustrating bits to start off with. You are seriously ambush happy, with enemies spawning in the middle of the street, surrounding your characters with no warning. The early available equipment is fairly poor quality relative to what an imported character will probably have, but the loss of the stash is a killer to deckers who find themselves without any decent programs. The biggest problem is that the maps are huge and poorly marked, with no clear indication if clicking an icon will advance a sidequest or abandon it forever.
Chester Rico 12 Oct, 2014 @ 7:24am
Okay cheers, think I'll play this one then.
molefixer  [author] 12 Oct, 2014 @ 7:16am
as far as gear and such dragonfall, but as far as me doing patches on them this one would be the one. They both should work fine. The only issue I keep having tends to be in the fuchi side quest in chapter one. It is optional and you have to be a decker to play it.
Chester Rico 11 Oct, 2014 @ 9:51am
So which version is more up-to-date, this or the dragonfall one?
molefixer  [author] 6 Oct, 2014 @ 4:46pm
I updated it yesterday. I added more to the story there and it all worked fine for me.
Mundilfaeri 6 Oct, 2014 @ 1:25pm
Thanks anyway. Will play some other mod and come back later to check if problem still persists.
molefixer  [author] 3 Oct, 2014 @ 2:24pm
Okay, that is really weird. I'm not even sure if I could make that error if I tried. I'll try to find another way to have her hired in. Maybe that will fix it.:snaggletooth:
Mundilfaeri 2 Oct, 2014 @ 5:07pm
Updated and no luck. Tried different things, including restarting the level and the chapter back in the bar, but nothing. :/
molefixer  [author] 2 Oct, 2014 @ 3:41pm
Okay, it is done now. Sorry for delay. My firewall keeps blocking the updates. It is patched now.
Mundilfaeri 2 Oct, 2014 @ 3:28pm
Much appreciated.
molefixer  [author] 2 Oct, 2014 @ 3:25pm
The issue doesn't replicate for me other than if I tell her no. I can still see her in the skill and gear section, but she doesn't join me. Let me patch it to make sure nothing has broken in the past couple months.
molefixer  [author] 2 Oct, 2014 @ 3:07pm
Alright, I'll check it out.
Mundilfaeri 2 Oct, 2014 @ 3:06pm
I'm having a problem in the Fuchi sidequest. After talking to Belladona and agreeing to work together, she doesn't party up with me. It appears as such in the chars window (inv, skills, etc), but I can't control her and her portrait on the top right of the screen is missing; instead, there's a portrait of my "real world" char there (grayed out and with decking icon over it- the circuitry one-), who also appears in the char window.

This series is great, definitely one of the best and chock full of content.
My only small gripes would be that some of the enemies don't pose a huge threat (with crowd control spells) while having truck loads of HP so fights can turn into a bit of a whack a mole situation.
Very solid series and great story that evolves well and doesn't feel forced or lame like a lot of other content can do.
Top notch work Mole!
molefixer  [author] 18 Aug, 2014 @ 8:42pm
Okay, tested and spotted bug. It was in the back door trigger. It is working properly again.
molefixer  [author] 18 Aug, 2014 @ 6:05pm
It is just an optional side quest. It isn't really anything to do with the main story of Darkness Falls, but I'll see what is going on with it. The lastest updates may have caused a glitch in it.
blkwhrlwnd 17 Aug, 2014 @ 11:58am
I am stuck on the Hacking Fuchi side quest and am unable to advance any further. I have located the file in the Matrix but when I go to leave the portal closes and my character is stuck at the exit along with Belladonna. I have tried reloading from the beginning of the quest and running through it again several times, but I always encounter the same issue. Any suggestions as to how to fix or avoid this problem, or should I just load an earlier save file and skip this quest entirely?
Lord deabus 22 Jul, 2014 @ 10:07am
ill will try it!
molefixer  [author] 20 Jul, 2014 @ 3:33pm
Thank you!
JMacKL 19 Jul, 2014 @ 10:56pm
This was very well done: you captured both the mood of the PnP game as well as the general caliber of Shadowrun Returns. My only critiques would be that the other runners are a bit stacked and the random drops are a bit too rich; I had more premium medkits than I could possibly have used by the end and never really had to worry about a fight (even though you had some good ones in there). Still, it was a very enjoyable run! Thanks for your hard work.
molefixer  [author] 30 Jun, 2014 @ 6:01pm
oh! Sorry about that. Ray should have been able to click it for you though. I'll recheck him, but I'm pretty sure I left him able to take care of that part.
leprejuan 29 Jun, 2014 @ 6:26pm
I was having trouble clicking the reactor-looking thing that opens the second door. Went back with a decker character and it worked fine. Thanks, this is fun!
molefixer  [author] 29 Jun, 2014 @ 8:49am
@May0-- Thanks, spell correct didn't catch that. @leprejuan-- sounds like you didn't get the maglock pass key from the Mole at the beginning. When you get the mission he gives it to you. Did you talk to him? I put a trigger in there to stop the scene from progressing unless you have talked to him now.
leprejuan 28 Jun, 2014 @ 10:21pm
Having trouble in the Ares Extraction in the scene just after I killed all the gangers. Seem to have killed everyone (4 baddies maybe?) and can find no others. Have a locked door but clicking on the computer doesn't open the door. Can't find anyone to steal key from or way to open security locked door.

BTW, missed the "200 karma" warning so my beginningish character barely survived the gangs until I met up with the team, but it's smoother for me now.

Straight male or lesbian. She kept flirting with me and I find it disconcerting. I am straight and female. It would be nice to have responces to them that do not force me to flirt with the characters. And yes , I know plenty about Shadow Run. There is nothing in the culture that says you have to be a jerk. And with a high charisma character, I should be able to get nicer worded options. Comming across strong is not the same as being obnoxious. Weakness does not make it on the streets. As to not taking into account my class, it talks to you like you are anything but a caster. I got the feel of them talking to a decker or other mundane, not anyone that would know anything about the astral plane. Every caster knows about the meta plane. They just have different abilities in being able to move around in it. That is represented by the divison in casting done in fourth addition. If you go back to earlier addtions they were able to do both with ease.

Played one & Two , Playing three now, . Other than small glitches (which could be my cruddycomputer)not a bad flick. could use more side quests makes the game play longer.
molefixer  [author] 6 Jun, 2014 @ 6:35pm
@HextildaMarshall-- I'm not sure I follow you on your complaints here. It doesn't take into account your class? How so? It assumes you are not a caster? How so? If you have ever read anything shadowrun related you would know that just because you are awakened and can use magic doesn't mean you know how to access the astral plane or the metaplanes. Someone or something has to teach you in most cases. As far as rude and obnoxious go, do you know anything about shadowrun lore? Nice peeps don't last long on the streets. Gender? Charla and the hooker are the only two I know of that even take that into consideration and they are both worded so that they could be straight or lesbian. I do agree that I didn't use charisma options much in my campaign and I am slowly trying to modify things on that end. If you could be a little more specific I'll see what I can do to modify it.
molefixer  [author] 6 Jun, 2014 @ 6:26pm
@mr_magic233-- I just played through it and it left combat once all the gangers were taken out. You must have missed one some where. There is one on the 2nd floor that hides in the top right corner and doesn't come out unless you attack them so that may have been it.
HextildaMarshall 6 Jun, 2014 @ 3:33pm
he dialog in this mod is really bad. It does not take into concideration your charisma or what class you are playing. Heck it even has decided that everyone playing is a guy no matter what the gender of the character is. There were very few choices in what to say and all of them were rude and obnoxious. When you end up in the astral the game assumes that you are not a caster and treats you as if you have no idea what the astral is or how to move around it. This mod definitely needs work.
mr_magic233 5 Jun, 2014 @ 8:18pm
at the beginning of the game its as if your characters never leave the combat situation,in the ancients hideout at the beginning i killed all of them and it never brought my team out of battle and healed us,not once.it didnt even bring us out once the quest was done, other than that,i have no issues with the first installment, well done

Thanks for the feedback and the update!! Glad you are enjoying it.
uthril 31 May, 2014 @ 11:42am
@molefixer - Thank you and I just wanted to say that your mods are amazing. I just played through part 2 which was brilliantly done, and am moving onto part 3 now :)
Lucky 30 May, 2014 @ 5:11pm
@molefixer - thx for the quick fix, it is working :)
molefixer  [author] 29 May, 2014 @ 7:38pm
I can do that. Thank for the feedback.
uthril 29 May, 2014 @ 7:21pm
@ Molefixer - Thank you. Just a sugestion, but maybe in the final text you could put [End of Part 1]. I think it's a really bad ass ending, love it, but yeah, not quite knowing I went back 3 times and checked to see if their was anything I was missing.
molefixer  [author] 29 May, 2014 @ 5:08pm
@uthril-- that was the end of part one, but your character is not dead as part 3 will show. @Lucky and Maya-- it should work fine now.
molefixer  [author] 29 May, 2014 @ 5:06pm
it will be fixed in a couple minutes. I am currently trying to patch it through.
Lucky 29 May, 2014 @ 5:00pm
I have the same problem like Maya - can not access the admin console in the second rescue mission. I watched a youtube video of that level - this is somehow different since the guys there can go through the first door in the north (which is closed in my game) and does not open from the first console (even as it says open all doors).
Beside this - great content so far - started with a 200 karma character - does pretty good.
