//////////UNIQUE MECHANICS//////////
SUPERJUMP
Unlike other characters in Rivals, Gohan has a superjump like in other fighting games. To perform a superjump, jump while crouching (for at least 5 frames). A superjump is higher than the height of a regular jump plus a doublejump, allowing him to prevent high recoveries and more easily juggle the opponent. To balance this, Gohan cannot use a doublejump after a superjump.

////GROUND ATTACKS////
JAB:
A fast punch. Best as a combo starter or in a combo, works at most percents

FTILT:
A two-hit punch combo. Second hit is only performed if attack is held or pressed a second time. First hit has low knockback, second hit has higher knockback

DTILT:
A low kick. Has a bigger hitbox than jab, but also more knockback, so best as a combo starter at low percents only, but works in a combo at low-mid percents

UTILT:
A high roundhouse kick. Best as a Anti-air

DATTACK:
A running jumpkick. Best as a combo finisher, but not a strong one

FSTRONG:
A powerful backhand. Best as a combo finisher

DSTRONG:
A spinning kick that spikes aerial opponents. Best as a combo finisher

USTRONG:
A powerful kick that sends the opponent straight up. Best as a combo finisher or anti-air


////AIR ATTACKS////
NAIR:
A knee strike with a deceptively large hitbox. Attack duration is decreased by 2 frames if it hits an opponent, allowing it to combo more easily. Best in the middle of a combo

FAIR:
A slow kick that deals strong-attack levels of knockback. Best as a combo finisher

BAIR:
A backflip combined with a kick. Huge hitbox. As it is a BAIR, it's not really a combo tool (unlike my Colonel Sanders'
stupid BAIR)

DAIR:
A strong elbow drop that spikes aerial opponents. This move is basically Smash Ultimate Chrom's USPECIAL, but without the moving upwards part.

UAIR:
A backflip combined with a kick (like BAIR), but the kick is above Gohan, not behind him. This move is HUGE, and FAST. Can be used as a combo starter (its main role, arguably Gohan's best), a combo extender, or a juggle tool


////SPECIALS////
NSPECIAL: 6 KICK COMBO
Gohan performs a 6 kick combo. This move has super armour and is invincible to projectiles

DSPECIAL: KI CHARGE
Increases Ki at a rate of 0.75 every frame. There is also a hitbox at the beginning of the move to knock opponents away. Unlike Goku and Vegeta's Ki Charge, Gohan's has projectile invincibility

FSPECIAL: SPIN KICK
This attack is basically Ryu's Tatsumaki, a horizontally-moving spinning kick

DFSPECIAL: JUMPING DODGE
Gohan jumps into the air with full invincibility, traveling diagonally towards his most recently hit opponent. This move has a cooldown that only starts counting down after touching the ground again, and it cannot be used immediately after another attack.

GROUNDED USPECIAL: RISING KICK
Gohan launches diagonally upwards in a Shoryuken-style rising kick. Autocancels on hit, making it a combo starter

AERIAL USPECIAL: AFTERIMAGE STRIKE
This move has different properties depending on what buttons are pressed, and for how long. Depending on if up is held for the full duration, Gohan will either teleport upwards or to the same location. If A is held, Gohan will perform a flying kick after reappearing


////SUPERS////
SUPER 1: SUPER COUNTER
Press attack and special simultaneously to perform a counter. If Gohan is hit during this attack, and the opponent is in front of him, the opponent will be hit 5 times for 25%, before being stunned, allowing Gohan to follow up with a combo or strong attack. This attack consumes 150 Ki

SUPER 2: MASENKO
Press attack and special simultaneously while holding left or right to perform one of Gohan's signature moves, the Masenko, a devastating energy beam that deals strong knockback. If the opponent is in hitstun when the attack begins, they will be frozen in place, unable to dodge. While this attack cannot be angled up or down like Goku's Kamehameha, it can be turned around (unlike Vegeta's Final Flash), and it comes out faster (50 frame startup) than either Goku's Kamehameha (222 frame startup) or Vegeta's Final Flash (102 frame startup). It also deals the most damage out of the three (35% compared to 25%). This attack consumes 300 Ki

SUPER 3: FINAL UPPERCUT -> KAMEHAMEHA
Press attack and special simultaneously while holding down to cause Gohan to fly forward. from here, the attack is different depending on if Gohan has already hit an opponent during the match. If he has, he will continue to fly forward until he reaches their horizontal position, otherwise he will fly forward until attack and special are released. Gohan will then hit them with a strong uppercut, killing them in one hit. If the opponent only has one stock remaining, the uppercut will not kill. Instead, Gohan will fly into the air, spike them, then perform a Kamehameha that will kill them in one hit. Either way the attack kills, but the Kamehameha just looks cooler (and may hit other opponents in a free-for-all). This attack consumes 450 Ki (the full bar)
