Real Names Infinite

Description
This has been updated for RimWorld 1.5, and I can verify that it works out of the box, at least as the only loaded mod. If it's not working for you, please make sure it's LAST in the mod load order.

Details
This mod is the evolved form of some of my other mods that replace the names and descriptions of items with those of their real-world counterparts.

Some issues people have had with my other "Real Name" mods include: "This mod should also include a new name for X" and "I think X should be named Y instead". Well, this mod seeks to solve those issues by allowing the user to completely customize the names changed through the mod settings page.

With the default settings, this mod does everything that Real Drug Names and Real Gun Names do with the added benefit that it also works correctly, out-of-the-box, with other mods that include the names that are being replaced.

In addition to what the default settings do, this mod can rename anything from the base game, Royalty, Ideology and from pretty-much any other mod. This isn't restricted to just "items" either. Literally any Def in the game can have it's label/description changed by this mod. That includes the names of researches, health problems/conditions (hediffs), colonists' thoughts, and more!

Anything you don't like the name of, in RimWorld, can be renamed to whatever you want.

Compatibility
This should be perfectly compatible with all other mods, if it's loaded after them. (Any mods loaded after this one won't have name changes applied to their Defs.)

This mod should also be compatible with all languages, as it changes the labels and descriptions to whatever you have set, no matter what language you have selected. (Of course, that means that the defaults that I have set up will only work for English.)

Usage
Simply add a "Replacement" to the mod settings with the corresponding button, change the "To Replace" to what you'd like to replace and the "Replacement" to what you'd like to replace it with, and you're good to go.

Some things you should probably be aware of, though:

  • "To Replace" is not case-sensitive. (Casing will be automatically accounted for at the start of labels and at the beginning of sentences in descriptions.)

  • "Replacement" IS case-sensitive.

  • If you'd like to replace a variant of a name like "wake-up powder" differently than "wake-up", the more specific replacement should be in the list before the more general one.

  • Sometimes, you'll want to replace a label for a specific item, but not replace that word everywhere else. (For example, replacing the "Revolver" item with a more-specific name, but not replacing "revolver" everywhere, as that would likely create some odd descriptions.) That can be accomplished by checking the left-most "checkbox" for a replacement.

  • You can enable/disable any replacements with the far-right "checkbox".

Load this mod after all other mods for the best experience, unless you have a specific reason for not doing so.

Bugs/Comments
Please let me know what you think of the mod. I'm willing to consider adding new features/improvements to this mod if there's enough demand. I don't have any ideas at the moment, but I'm sure there's something.

Also, if you find any bugs/issues with this mod, definitely leave a comment (I don't get notified about new threads, unfortunately.) about it, and I'll do my best to fix/resolve it in a timely fashion.

Finally, I'd be really curious to hear about what you're are using this mod for and if there are any unique uses that you've come up with. Please leave a comment about it!

Attention : when work with CharacterEditor mod ,and you save a pawn in the mod with some item in his bag. Luckly ,you edit the item number .
So ,the item's name such as "xxx @ xxx" will store and never change the name even you uninstall this mod.
You should search the LocalLow\Ludeon Studios\CharacterEditor\options.txt and simple delete the @xxx .

i love the mod ^_^ unfortunately it appears it has a soft incompatibility with dubs mint menus. The names don't appear to change in the unique bill UI dubs mint menus has. Not a big deal but might be something you wanna mention on the mod page.

@Kyrrisayo All good bud. Thank you for the work you do. Best of luck with the cars, I hope you have wheels to use in the mean time bro

@Yianni.hatzidimitriou Well, thank you for letting me know. I should really take some time soon to look at this then. Between two of my cars needing fixed and working full time, I've got a lot to do and not a lot of free time anymore for modding.

That said, this is one of my personal-favorite mods that I've created, so I'd really like it to stay working for people to use.
