Attention : when work with CharacterEditor mod ,and you save a pawn in the mod with some item in his bag. Luckly ,you edit the item number .
So ,the item's name such as "xxx @ xxx" will store and never change the name even you uninstall this mod.
You should search the LocalLow\Ludeon Studios\CharacterEditor\options.txt and simple delete the @xxx .

i love the mod ^_^ unfortunately it appears it has a soft incompatibility with dubs mint menus. The names don't appear to change in the unique bill UI dubs mint menus has. Not a big deal but might be something you wanna mention on the mod page.

@Yianni.hatzidimitriou Well, thank you for letting me know. I should really take some time soon to look at this then. Between two of my cars needing fixed and working full time, I've got a lot to do and not a lot of free time anymore for modding.

That said, this is one of my personal-favorite mods that I've created, so I'd really like it to stay working for people to use.

@Kyrrisayo Yes I've put it last in the list. It is actually working as only one item out of all of the weapons and drugs actually changed the name (LMG)

@Yianni.hatzidimitriou Did you make sure this mod is loaded after everything you're trying to modify?

Also, try it without any other mods first, just to make sure it's working. If it doesn't work without any other mods loaded, then maybe something in RimWorld updated and broke it.

Hi Guys, just like Goblin Conscript, this mod doesn't work for me either unfortunately :( It's still showing all of the replacements in the list I typed, I've also restarted the game and then started it back up. I then clicked the Update Defs tab and it hasn't worked. Ahy help would be massively appreciated

@Goblin Conscript That's odd. The presets are in the C# code, so they should be there if the mod works in other ways.. Maybe it's something to do with how I'm checking whether or not there are already settings there...

Are you using other mods? What OS are you on? I may or may not get to fixing the issue soon, but, if I do, these details will help troubleshoot.

And, as for why it's not very popular, yeah, I was a little surprised too, but I suppose it's just not something that bothers most users, and greater still, a lot of people have moved on from playing RimWorld, and I created this near the end of 1.3. (Instead of Beta 17 or 18, like my other renaming mods.)

@murasame If the names are slightly different, but contain similar words, you can replace the more specific ones first (earlier on the list of replacements), then replace the more specific ones afterwards. I think there's an example above.

Unfortunately, if two items have the exact same name, then this mod (currently) can't replace their names separately.

I did a clean save, removed every mod but Real Names Infinite (and its requirements) and, once again, only the mood tab seems to remain unaffected by the renames: https://imgur.com/a/LNRgUCn

@Tonas Yeah, that's definitely not right... I just loaded mine up and everything works as intended on my side. Are there any errors/warnings in your log?

Maybe, since you've shown that it at least works somewhat, could you try it again without any other mods enabled? That would give us insight as to whether it's a mod conflict or not... Though, I've used it with 120+ mods myself and never saw any issues..

And, maybe try it with a new game, (just a quick dev-test game is fine), and see if the issue persists there. I believe it's completely compatible with existing saves, but I also haven't tested it too thoroughly.

Is it possible for the mod to also replace names found inside moods? For instance, turn "high on smokeleaf" into "high on cannabis"... I also noticed it doesn't seem to change names contained inside the actions tab (e.g. it still displays "hauling smokeleaf")

Just to make sure, I loaded the game, and the names of drugs in the research tree get renamed for me. At least the two that I could find on the research tree, cocaine and amphetamines.

If the issue's still happening with it at the end of your mod list, try it once with just this mod and see if it still happens.

Also, definitely check the mod's settings. You should see a whole bunch of rules corresponding to drug and gun names.

@Tonas They should be built-in, and, yes, it can be added to saves/removed at any time, as far as I know.

Definitely make sure this mod is last in your load order, just in case some other mod is messing with the names/research tree. Basically, this mod just loops through all the text in the game and renames things when it comes across specified words/phrases, but, if that text isn't loaded yet, it won't get renamed, since the mod only runs once when the game starts.

I just installed RimCuisine 2 and the drugs module, but it seems to be working for me... For example, Pychite tea is Coca pekoe. If the rules are in place and this mod is loaded after RimCuisine, I really don't know what could be going on..
