7th Australian Regimental Gaming Heavy Destroyer Icarus

This is what came out of it and well ship characteristics are as follows

My key objective was to make the smallest heavy ship I could think with as much working systems as i could fit in it, with of course some cool looks to it!

*Opening and Closing Hanger Doors, With Locks.

*FTL Drive also added and FTL Dropout to slow you down quite rapidly.

*Conveyor system attached to all weapon systems, engineering Tech, reactors and storage.

*Also a loading & unloading system using collectors and connectors for quick docking

*Labled systems in the control menu each with its specific purpose all systems are set for easy space combat.

*Lock-down ship opens or closes all interior doors within the ship for easy lockdown on your ship, this will not open the airlock doors located on the outside of the ship.

*Interior and Exterior weapons grouped for easy use as well as backup generators

*This ship is capable of great menouvers considering its weight i have kept the ships size as minimal as i can and placed key structures within the ship to ensure maximum protection whilst utalizing its size

*LIGHT ATTACK FIGHTER'S*

4 Extermly Fast Attack Fighters added
all armed with 3 gatling guns & 2 missile launchers
dual spot lights for moving through tunnels in astroids

*NOTE* when using FTL Drive turn inertia dampeners off and keep the ship straight if you turn too much during its couple of seconds getting to max speed you may start tearing apart, once you have reached full speed you can turn the FTL Drive off.

Also when using the directional missiles use your brain and DONT turn, your thruster's will ignite the missiles fired from the ship, it isnt nice.

I have it ready to go sorry good friend, im currently waiting for a piston update cause its still buddy with my design for a lower hanger :(

But seriously. Your Icarus was excellent. You should give it a face-lift and resubmit it. Or publish some of these new designs you mentioned ^_^

Very functional, which is something I like in a ship. There is no wasted space, nor wasted blocks. It's compact and it does what it's supposed to do. Given the blocks we have access to now, I'm sure it could benefit from a few upgrades, but this is my kind of ship building.

Really, really cool design. The hangar doors are just brilliant. Love that it's nice and compact, does a lot in a fairly small space. Love it.
