Where's your new concepts?! I waited like 3 months. That's patience, right? XD
But seriously. Your Icarus was excellent. You should give it a face-lift and resubmit it. Or publish some of these new designs you mentioned ^_^
thanks!
Irish Space Command would like to use Icarus as a destroyer. We offer you some of our ships and an alliance with us if we can use one of our ships in Deep Space Colonization. We await your response with baited breath.

P.S great ship mate
It's well-designed, looks cool (I dislike green but a paintjob is purely a matter of taste).
Really like how manouverable this beast is, it can spearhead into enemy capital ships with its front launcher.
Fighters in the hangar (oh btw you have it spelled wrong, it says hangar in the terminal) handle very well.
The frontal reactor room and medical room look uber cool thanks to the light settings.
That said, I really dislike that you put the launcher in such a way that you can't fire them while ship is manouvering, which should be possible.
I also not really like the ship's airlocks. There are basically 2 holes in the ground as you enter the ship, and it's easy to fall into them if you're not careful, instead of getting to the bridge.
Overall I give it 4.5/5 stars it's one of my favorite ships.
PS: what you said about not turning whilst going FTL reminds me of a quote from Star Trek Voyager: "Faster than light, no left or right".
