Description
(CV CPU Tier 4, Class 2, Unlock Level 25)

Primary roles: Combat CV, Vanilla and Reforged Eden, Upgradeable, Utility, Helios module dock, Warp, Shield

IMPORTANT: Reforged Eden Players will need to add 1 basic, 2 improved, and 1 advanced core before the ship is operational. You will find these locations near the rear of the ship on the second floor. Look at the ceiling in the back for Basic and improved cores, and 1 advanced core near the stock 4 in the hallway.

The Skaar Badger is a small combat CV designed to do tactical combat. It comes with weapons to both take down a shield and give the target a knockout blow without the need of quantum/auxiliary cores added however has space to add up to 4. The ship can strafe at max speed and by doing so in combat the player can potentially avoid a lot of incoming fire. It also moves forward and reverse at max speed.

Offense and Defense

The hull is made with xeno/hardened steel mix however mostly xeno. It offers thick front defense, and double layer side front defense. It comes with 6 advanced laser canon launchers, 8 artillery canon launchers, 10 Missile turrets, 5 laser turrets, 8 canon turrets, and 4 minigun turrets. It also has 10 more open turret mount positions. It comes stock with a T2 shield, standard warp drive, 2 320K ammo storage controllers.

Utility features

It comes stock with 2x 320K ammo bays, 1x 200K cargo bay, 3 cargo boxes, 2 passenger seats, full medical bay, fridge, armor locker, o2 and ventilator, location to add 1 constructor/de-constructor.

Helios module docking bay

A unique feature this ship has is the ability to dock a standard Helios module to the back. The ship extends a ramp to connect to the the module allowing you to walk right into the ship from the module. To dock a module, it is recommended to first level the ship (O key) as well as the module, then using the first person cockpit on the module, line up the cross hair to the marked dash between to arrows on the back of the Badger. Once all the way forward, let off the thrust and it should dock. At that point proceed to the the module exit and walk into the Badger.

Features Summary:

1. CPU Tier 4, Size Class 2, Player unlock level 25
2. Vanilla and Reforged Eden
3. Xeno and hardened steel hull, with some carbon substrate.
4. 2 320K ammo bays, 1 200K cargo bay, 3 cargo boxes
5. T2 Shield, standard warp drive, detector, fridge, o2 and dispenser, armor locker
6. Full medical bay, 2 passenger seats
7. Landing gear (signal) based exit door/ramp
8. Max speed strafing/forward and reverse thrust speeds.
9. Helios Module docking bay
10. 8 Artillery Cannons, 6 Advanced laser canons, 10 rocket turrets, 5 Laser turrets, 8 cannon turrets, 4 minigun turrets (stock)
11. Locations to add 1 constructor, 10 additional 3x3 turrets.
12. Location to add a Reforged Eden only Long Range Radar.

Symbols in ship: B=Basic CPU Core, IC=Improved CPU core, AC=advanced CPU core, T-1=Location for 1x3 generator, C=location for constructor, Q/A = location for quantum/auxiliary core, R=location for long range radar.

I hope you enjoy!

Notes: The landing gear control the main rear exit door/ramp. When docking a Helios module, the upper entry doors/ramps are sensor based and should automatically open/close when in the area. MK2 was added to the name as the MK1 version was tested and improved in game play. Lessons learned on that one lead to many changes in the MK2 version including more strafing thrust speeds and extra side hull armor as well as a missing warp drive. I used this ship in game now in a few combat excursions and it seems to do the job as non-quantum small attack ship. It is recommended to fight enemy's while moving/strafing a lot to avoid a lot of enemy fire however the ship can take a lot of frontal hits for direct tanking depending on the target. The idea for this ship would be to use in battles to acquire quantum/auxiliary cores in game.

Popped it into a creative RE save and maxed the CPU extenders. Is it normal for the ship to operate at 83% CPU efficiency?

Thank you [TSF] Mason and Brudeslem! @[TSF] Mason, maybe on the new ship, the Supremacy-ICD? Untested however. lol. @Brudeslem, it was done on purpose so it could be compatible with the vanilla game. If stock I added 1 basic, 2 improved, and 1 more advanced, it would not work for vanilla gameplay. So, basically RE players need to add those first after spawning the ship. It has slots for the cores in the upper level back ceiling area and hallway going to it. (Near the module entry). I hope that helps, and thanks again all!
