GH Emissary

Description
Vanilla
no mods
no scripts
survival ready
sub-grids optional

This ship is a classy private launch that can handle itself in a fight; Think of it as a "Fighting business jet".

The on-board H2/O2 production and Oxygen tank make her a "Cruiser" capable of extended operations over long distances.

The GH Emissary is a classy private launch for the dignitary conducting business in less than friendly territories.

Most Grey Hangar ships omit the connector block in order to save space and reduce weight, in addition to streamlining the airframe. In the case of the GH Emissary the connector block is an essential tool; You never know where your business will take you and you need the confidence that you will be able to service your ship in just about any hangar you find yourself in.

While the GH Emissary was built with the novice in mind, nothing was held back in design.

While sub-grids do not appear when printing a ship, the landing gear are deliberately simple to recreate; but the connector block means you could choose to omit them completely.

In keeping with Grey Hangar standards, the GH Emissary fits in a standard 5x5 hangar.

While 12 small hydrogen tanks provide reasonable flight time in survival mode, on-board H2/O2 production means you can stay in the air indefinately in creative.

The GH Emissary is meant to be customized; adjust loadout and paint scheme to taste.

For the best possible fuel efficiency, the GH Emissary has two sets of controls:
[1] atmosphere
[2] space
Make sure to shut down all thrusters before switching control groups or thuster groups can get mixed up.

[1] and [2] controls:
(1) thrusters on/off
(2) increase main thrusters override
(3) decrease main thrusters override
(4) deploy/retract landing gear
(5) reverse thruster on/off (reserve for landing and deck handling)
(6) lock/unlock magnetic plate and unlock connector
(7)
(8)
(9) toggle guns

[9] is for admin stuff, like battery and hydrogen tank management. This is where you want to be when docking and taking on fuel.

While there is a connecror block on this aircraft, the GH Emissary can utilize the same hinge-part fueling method as the other Grey Hangar ships.

Acchuwally...
Good eye!
That was the biggest influence during this build. I just don't "large ship" very well yet.

Reminds me of Padme Amidala's royal barge from episode 2. Very neat

Thanx!
I love Hydrogen! The efficiency is just "meh". Anything to conserve...

Nice little Ship. I like the Button (5) Feature. To few ships have such a simple fuel saving feature.

Using (6) to lock the landing gear to the deck also engages the shared inertial tensioners on the landing gear so the thing doesn't "futterwhacken", so if you use (6) to disconnect from a connector block, the controls will feel sluggish. If you notice that, just hit (6) again.
