MAX Light Rail 2002-Present

Description
TriMet's new corporate identity brought with it a new color scheme, and in 2002 the MAX livery was updated accordingly, replacing the stripes with a more streamlined blue and yellow design. The new Type 3 trains, outwardly identical in design to the Type 2s, featured various technical upgrades, and were the first of the MAX fleet to wear the new paint scheme. These trains entered service in mid-late 2003, and served not only the existing Red and Blue Lines, but also the new Yellow Line (an extension from the Rose Quarter to North Portland, opened in 2004).

In 2009, a newer, much more streamlined train began to enter MAX service, the Siemens S70 (referred to as the Type 4). Unlike the previous three models, the Type 4s can only operate in pairs, as each car has a single operator's cab at the "A" end with additional passenger seating at the "B" end. In contrast, the Types 1, 2, and 3 trains have operator cabs at each end of the car, allowing the trains to be run in pairs or individually. The Type 4s were the first MAX trains to feature LED destination signs, rather than the roll-type sign used on the Types 1, 2, and 3 prior to 2016 (and depicted in this livery).

This livery is a modification of the post-2002 MAX Light Rail livery, as seen on the Type 3 and later trains (as well as most Type 1 and 2 trains after 2002), with the design altered to fit the shaping and configuration of the Commuter Sprinter. Specifically, this livery depicts an eastbound Blue Line train on its way to Gresham.

Note: The pantographs are not automatically included when selecting this livery, and must be added manually.
