Recent new additions

Most of the Baron’s melee troops such as Halberdiers, Swordsmen, Macemen, Pikeneers, etc can no longer be ‘recruited’ They must be upgraded from Spearmen. They cost the same gold and iron in the long run but this change allows you to upgrade automatically recruited spearmen into whatever troops you desire, if you have 100 iron sitting around and want to turn 100 spearmen into pikemen, you can do that in 1 turn and a few clicks! It may take some getting used to but I find this change allows you to build varied armies from the freespawning spearmen.

Archers, siege weapons, cavalry and more unique units like Bodyguards and Foot Knights still need to be recruited normally.

The Baron can now recruit special units from conquered the starting citadels of rival classes such the Necromancer’s Dark Citadel. Each Class Citadel a or a few unique units for the Baron to add to his arsenal.

The Baron can now turn the Baron’s Castle into a Kings Castle if no other King’s Castle or King exists in the world.

Magus and Grand Magus can build Arcane Castles on Regular Castles. These are very fortified castles with magical gates and a lvl 1 library.

All Cavalry got some kind of hoof attack.

New upgrades for the following units

Caverly
Unicorn Knights
Foot Knights

Buffed Mantlets, They now have a siege longbow weapon and more range on their regular attack.

Foresters can also appear at owned Ancient Forests from time to time.

Added another Legendary Knight.

Sprite upgrades
Upgrades the following sprites
Ballista, Catapult, Trebuchet and their Alchemical variants.
Crossbowman

Standard unit changes
Ballista, Catapult, Trebuchet and their Alchemical variants now all have normal combat ranged attacks (very slow reloading ones) and more melee attacks and can move slowly in combat.
Catapults increased HP 10 to 15
Trebuchets increased HP 15 to 20
Regular Archers had their melee weapon changed from Shortsword to Fist (big nerf, free shortsword was bonkers good imo)

Baron Class Additions
All the Baron’s Commanders can gather Relics.
Ballista can get Alchemical Fire upgrade from a regular Alchemist

Monk Rituals
Level 1 Monk Rituals, each ritual uses the corresponding resource and the Blessing is increased, these rituals can only be used once.
"Tithes of Gold"
"Tithes of Iron"
"Tithes of Relics"

Level 2 Monk Rituals, each ritual uses the corresponding resource and the Blessing is increased, these rituals can only be used once except for the "Grand Offering of All" which costs a lot of all three resources but can be repeated.

"Grand Offering of Gold"
"Grand Offering of Iron"

Baron Rituals
Baron has new Level 2 Rituals.
Wardens of the Forest - Tasks some Stationary Wardens with guarding an Ancient Forest.
Appoint Baronet - Appoints a Baronet to protect a castle and the surrounding area.
Refurbish Castle - Rebuilds an old Castle Ruin
A castle fit for a King - Turns the Baron’s Castle into the King’s Castle.

Magus Rituals
Outfit Arcane Castle - Converts a Castle into an Arcane Castle, you can still appoint Baronets to Arcane Castles and they also attract Enchanted Troops over time.

Raise Levy’s was replaced with "Rally Watchmen"
Watchmen replaced Levy’s for various modding reasons. I had to replace Levy's to do what I wanted to do with them.
Watchmen are weak stationary defenders that appear slowly for free in Monasteries and settlements of villages or larger.
Watchmen also appear much more quickly in watchtowers.
Watchmen can still be Rallied in mass once in a settlement of a Hamlet or larger size.

Warrior Monks and non-commander Monks appear slowly for free in Monasteries.
Some soldiers also appear for free in Regular Castles.
Foresters can also appear at owned Ancient Forests from time to time.

Alchemist Rituals

Alchemical Ballista - Converts two Ballista into Alchemicals Ballistas.
Alchemical Flamethrowers - Converts 3 Spearmen into Flamethrower Infantry
Alchemical Acidthrowers - Converts 3 Spearmen into Acidthrower Infantry

New Baron units/commanders

Units
Many of the new units are Upgraded units such as Spearman can upgrade to Armoured Spearman for 5 iron (1 iron each as a merc recruit so it can be done many times in 1 turn) or to Quickspears. Armoured Spearmen can be further upgraded to Enchanted Spearman. Some of the upgrades just cost Iron but many of the Strong ones cost Relics.

Your Relic income increases quite quickly compared to other classes as the Baron can create Mote and Bailey's and Monasteries which increase relic income substantially.

Commanders
Castellan # Like a Captain except he also trains troops, appears more rarely than a captain.

Warrior Mage # Non-commander mage, mounted armorued with Wizardry Level 1, Appear more frequently when you own more libraries.

Legendary Knight # Very low chance to appear, powerful frontline commanders with 8 variants each with unique characteristics. They appear more frequently when you have more temples so build plenty of Monasteries!

Also it is very likely this will conflict with any other mod that changes the Baron.

I'm assuming This wold need a some kind of compatibility patch to work with raise the levies? the amount of stuff you could do with both would be cool tho if not probably a little out of balance.

Are Blind Soldiers only supposed to have bad sight as their flavour text sort of implies they should have spirit sight or are they just supposed to be super tanky infantrymen?

Found a spelling mistake, the barbarian recruitment option is called a solider I assume its supposed to say soldier.

Other than that i look forward to seeing what the monkey class might provide, perhaps some kind of heavily armoured bandar melee combatants with some kind of two handed weapon or perhaps a large shield and and a melee weapon as some kind of high health shock troops though some kind of hybrid longbow/well armed ones similar to the heavy archers the bakemono get

I love this mod, the recruitment and promotion system is great. I love capturing new locations and finding unique recruitables.

Uuhhh, yeah I could probably do that. They're a bit easier to manage while they're separate and anyone using them can select ones they like and not ones they don't. It'll be a down the road thing.

That's not part of my mod, Vassaling knights is a standard game ritual.

Not sure if intentional, but Vassal Unicorn Knights are not stupid.
