Sun Tracker NO Scripts

Description
Original Sun Tracker: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1741921536

Now using the new Advanced Power Systems 2: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2601590536

Works in space or on planet; best of all, no scripts. Yea, it's server friendly!

What is your process for placing the structure? Open your blueprints, select Copy to Clipboard, then hit the B key to align to gravity. The giant circle is the base and you can place that into voxel slightly to anchor it. At that point it shouldn't tip over anywhere. Hit the "Start Tracking" button and the top portion should disconnect the Merge blocks and internal landing gears should attach and things kick into motion.

Game Physics are just fine. Place the base of the structure, JUST the base in voxel. Hit the "Start Tracking" Button. Enjoy. I have embedded this thing sideways into a mountain and it still tracked just fine.

Game physics mean voxel placing for structures like stations on planets to keep it from moving or even falling over, I don't know a way around that issue, and I tried numerous times. I also tend to prefer to keep things automated. As such when I used it on a planet I was doing my normal thing of making sure it had a good foundation to support it. I'll try it again but if it falls over again due to lack of foundation....

Not sure what you are talking about, Typhon Plume. If you place this in any location, albeit without embedding it into the voxel it will automatically adjust and rotate to face directly at the sun. You can play with the Time of Day slider and even when you sneak it up the backside of the planet it will rotate just like it should. Have you even used this in-game or are you just speculating? Make sure you don't have something like a safe zone disabling landing gears. Did you load Apathy's Power Mod like it lists under the Description?

Honestly I would have avoided this, while a very good idea, it lacks the ability to move the solar panels properly for the best alignment possible. Yea it shows you how as a blueprint, but blueprints only go so far to show folks. With things like the Build and Repair mod being so popular it's harder to learn from a blueprint as your not putting it together yourself. Also what if you build it facing the wrong direction?
