Description
Welcome to OBO, the Overall Balance Overhaul, pronounced "oboe" (yes, like the instrument).

OBO is itself split up into many smaller mods to make finding, using, mixing and matching easier for users, and to make updating them easier on my end. Please read the main collection page for more info, as this description will only cover this submod specifically.

This is the Rocket Launcher rebalance mod, which reworks the weapon to be a slower, but more deliberate and powerful weapon.


RATIONALE:
The vanilla Rocket Launcher was more or less fine, but why settle for just fine? It's a friggin' rocket launcher! Sure, it fired fast, but why is it that the splash damage couldn't even kill a male Gnaar? Something had to be done!

The actual splash radius has been decreased, but the splash itself is much more powerful now. Both direct damage and splash has been tuned to meet specific breakpoints when using the OBO Enemies rebalance mod. Yes, I took inspiration from DOOM 2016 again for this, but the math checks out with solid DPS, if you can keep the slow-moving rockets on target. When compared to hitscan weapons like the Minigun, this weapon will be theoretically more powerful against clusters of weak enemies or large, slow-moving targets (if you're close enough), but lacks the same range and versatility.

Isn't that beautiful? More options per gunfight, depending on the environment and specific enemy composition. Now get out there and turn those baddies into red-coated smears!
