I love the smell of Napalm in the morning...

Welcome to where it all begins for me, my first modpack. Now completely reworked! This modpack was originally made because I didn't like the other Vietnam war packs on the steam workshop, and then I started to dislike this pack... Oh, the irony.

Originally called the "FPS Friendly Vietnam war pack", which is technically still the case since I have greatly improved the frames with some clever mod decisions (compared to the previous version of this pack). But it would be misleading since this pack is multiple gigabytes of mods worth.

"Is this modpack balanced?" No, but to be fair neither was the Vietnam War.

Anti-Communist:
US Army/USMC (United States Marine Corps)
ARVN (Army of the Republic of Vietnam) (Early War)
ANZAC (Australian and New Zealand Army Corps)
French Paratroopers/French Foreign Legion (First Indochina War)
MACV-SOG (Military Assistance Command, Vietnam – Studies and Observations Group)

Communist:
PARV (People's Army of Vietnam)
NLF (National Liberation Forces) (AKA: Vietcong) (Early War)
Viet Minh (First Indochina War)

Other: (These faction has no special equipment, only skins)
ROK (Republic Of Korea)
Pathet Lao
NADK (National Army of Democratic Kampuchea) (AKA: Khmer Rouge) (Maybe gonna add this faction in a future update)

Bullet points:
- There is a map collection!
- Bot skill tweaker is set on veteran, lower or make it higher if the difficulty is not good for you
- Give the Communist forces more manpower because the US will (most likely) have air superiority, don't do that for maps where airpower is not a thing
- On the USMC vs NLF, the NLF has the wrong flag

On Historical Accuracy:

I made the config as historically accurate as I can, with gameplay in mind. So that means that some factions have guns available that were not widespread. And I tried to prevent the factions from sharing too much equipment with each other.

Bullet points for historical accuracy:
- Remove the mods that you find immersive breaking. I added some mods that are technically historically accurate but can be a bit immersion-breaking because these weapons were not widely used (in the timeframe of the war). These mods were added for gameplay variety, mods like the Fusil 1866 Chassepot.
- On the same note as the last one, the ARVN config is based not only on ARVN in the early years but also on the CIDG (Civilian Irregular Defense Group), so not all weapons the ARVN have is necessarily accurate.
- Also not very realistic, the USMC can use the Mac 10 and Uzi, these weapons were used, but not by the main force (only special forces), I added them to the USMC to spice things up.
