This is another generic playermodel set I have been working on that uses a new animation method known as the proportion trick. This allows any set of animations from any survivor to conform to any given skeleton, given that the bones are properly named. (The usual Biped format.) What was originally practice to scale down my normally huge models to fit the L4D universe (and the desire for new models other than my usual choice of CT's) turned into a full on model set pretty fast. I used Ellis as a base for height as he is close to exactly that of common infected, since I liked the idea of losing your friends in hordes because you can't see them. Everything in the universe being scaled to that of the common's height heavily influenced my decision as well.

I've always been a fan of mods that kind of open a door for self-insertion into amazingly designed games, where the original intention usually, for good reason, wasn't built for that. This brings me to this mod, a team of anonymous survivors dressed out with in-universe riot gear. What better way to survive the apocalypse than in gear designed to deflect physical blows?

Summary:

This mod replaces all 8 survivors with custom tailored survivors utilizing riot gear, using Bill's animations with proportion trick to scale to Ellis' height. The mod also implements Ellie's standalone DMG code, causing survivors to appear bloody when injured both in 3rd and 1st person.

(Note that I opted in for the standalone DMG code. You do NOT need to subscribe to Ellie's DMG mod for this mod to work.)
