Type: Siege Tank
Tier 4, 141.088 CPU (9 Aux. Cores, not included in bp)
Size Class: 3 (2,54)

Built for CPU

The Demolisher is a heavy Tank built for extended siege operations on enemy POIs. Heavily armored front and medium mobility.
Target audience beeing heavily fortified POIs, e.g. Xenu Fortresses

Fixed weapons as well as some Turrets are placed high up to enable sniping over hills without exposing the tank to the complete firepower of the target installation.

Features internal and external cockpit, top docking adapters and a full set of tools.

Fighting:
When fighting heavily fortified POIs please be aware that no amount of armor will save you if you just park your vehicle in front of the full armament of the POI and expect your turrets to the job for you. Such an approach will result in a lot of very big holes in your vehicle pretty quickly.

To succeed, try to use the terrain to your advantage: snipe over hilltops, retreat if your shields drop too much, get rid of ground troops in your vincinity before focusing on turrets, stay at range and evade slower projectiles. Adapt weaponry as needed, if you have unfavorable terrain you may want more Lasers to bring down shields quickly.

Note that sniping over hills means also the POI will most likely focus on the turrets it sees, which, with this tactic, aren't the ones you want it to shoot. If you want to tank damage on armor and want the armor to do its job, you have to commit fully and let the POI Turrets "see" the targets beneath the armor. Know your limits if you choose to do so.

Upgrading: Room for 6 additional Generators, Turrets can be upgraded, the hull however does not come with additional turret hardpoints. There is room for a full complement of all the HV Shield upgrades.

Turrets:
9 Minigun Turrets
10 Missile Turrets
5 Artillery Turrets
4 Plasma Turrets

Weapons:
2 Gatling Cannons
7 Laser Cannons
9 Railguns
2 Tank Cannons

(Minigun and Gatlings are mostly there to draw fire, but can be helpful against ground troops as well.)

Equipment:
Med-Tool

constructor
o2 station

2x 18k Ammo
1x 28k Storage

Ahhh okay. I have that one as well.. lol. Very cool. Gonna build this in my current game. I have yet to build a sweet SV too... might have to go with the Grond as well! Thank you!

What is that ship that the tank is docked to in that one pic??

That would be a really small controller. The cargo boxes are there for two reasons:
-they are pretty
-can be used to stow excess loot that doesn't have much volume, like weapons or armor boosters. That is relevant if you run into the maximum item count for the main storage controller.

So nope, won't remove them on the workshop version. I mean, just multitool them away if they offend you. ;)

any chance for an update that gets rid of awful cargo boxes in favor of controllers?

@Ente yeah I havn't played vanilla since reforged eden combined haha, im going to test alot before I go out crazy on my survival save, goal is to find the most efficient way im comfortable with of using a HV to bring the shields down

(extra) im no good at building, but I can refit others builds in very efficient ways, im a tightass like that but its how I play, some builds are way too overkill.
This one iv been looking at for a while, its a good price, will most definitely be using this in survival.

Can't comment on Vanilla, I practically play RE exclusively. What I usually do in RE to drop shields is either do a hit (or better burn down the shield) and run with a SV or I try to sneak in with a HV and burn it down from cover. Smaller POIs also tend to be weak enough that you can just soak the damage on shield and out-damage them.

For the most part I prefer the HV nowadays, but that is more a subjective stance than a balancing thing. I feel SV VS HV is pretty balanced in RE right now.

@Ente I think i remember seeing somewhere in updates that they made it so SV and HV are comparable in damage, usually in vanilla the SV would easily beat a HV by double

@Ente yeah, you are right, its just hard to know without a wiki let alone a vanilla wiki. all testing, idk if I can find the files for reforged eden weapons, im just struggling to find a viable way to take down shields currently. c4 tunneling is a no go, it breaks the game, even so, they glitch and shoot through the floor XD

Yes RE does change the HV weapons, like nearly everything else. There aren't even Railguns for HVs in Vanilla.
Generally speaking you can't take any balancing discussions from vanilla directly to RE, as Vermillion did a great deal of rebalancing to fix the issues Vanilla has when it comes to balancing.
