What is this?
Aperture Science could be described as a heaven for all the brightest minds and their remarkable yet crazy experiments.
Ever since has Cave Johnson shown interest in exploring the Multiverse, Aperture scientists were hard at work to create their own prototypes used for space-travel, which would be used to traverse unknown Dimensions and Universes.
Before these Spaceships can be used in practice, they need to be properly tested in a safe environment.
Thus a virtual simulation to both train future pilots and try-out their ideas was created.

You are part of such simulation and your objective is to use a Spaceship to destroy Beacons that power a large inter-dimensional Portal, before it is opened and a powerful creature only known as "The Destroyer of Worlds" is brought to destroy our universe.

Detailed information

Hello dear player, what are your current thoughts about the map(reviews, feedback, comments,...)?

So cool - I'm a fan of arcade space shooters and I can honestly say that this was a better experience than some of the indie VR titles I've payed for. The sense of scale and music are on point. I also liked how you used the lasers to direct the player to the towers. There's even a tutorial!

I had a fun time, and liked the novel approach you took for implementation of controls, but felt the lever-based method of firing/speed control could be frustrating for those who play VR space shooters on a re-occurring basis.
As always, thank you for the opportunity for playing.

- I know this isn't a traditional VR space flight game, and what you provided was a fun time, with trying to imprint HL:A mechanics into a another genre type of games. I found myself occasionally wishing for traditional flight controls, with the guns aimed by where I was looking at, and having a button press for the weapons.
- Fighting the antenna dishes, and the towers was pretty fun,but the enemy fighters I found frustrating. This frustration was based on the only time I seemed ot be aware of them was when they were literally on top of my ship, and then I'm whipping my head around to get a bearing on them, while discovering my VR hands were slipping off of the weapons/speed levers.

Played on a i7-8700, 16GB RAM, GTX1070Ti with a Valve Index (90Hz refresh, Motion Smoothing On) while standing up. Observations are as follows:
- Performance was smooth with no framerate drops I was aware of.
- The overall method of control (minus the use of motion controllers) reminded myself very much of PSVR Resident Evil 7 and the primary method of how VorpX handles games (i.e., using the HMD as camera control, or in this case, steering the ship).
While this was okay for steering the ship, I felt a disassocation of my VR hands from the rest of the game. It seemed as long as I was starting straight ahead, the hand control of the levers was very straight forward, but when I was whipping my head around searching for enemy fighters, even if I was tightly gripping the levers, the VR hands slipped off of them. For myself, this got to be occasionally frustrating, and I occasionally wondered why a button press wasn't used to turn on/off weapons.
