Yet Another NieR Music Mod (ver 1.22)

Description
As the name implies, this is yet another music mod that replaces the default XCOM music with nearly 65 songs from the NieR Franchise. For those unfamiliar with the music from this franchise, you can expect epic orchestral music in the tactical layer and more melancholic songs in the strategic layer, with a healthy mix of beautiful vocals all around and some special songs for key events in the campaign. This is a passion project originally made for personal use, however I feel many people will be able to appreciate this.

Current Version: 1.22: Added NieR Reincarnation music and extra music originally intended for a potential WOTC update, implemented bug fixes for reported bugs, updated config files.

Below is a list of all the music included in this mod. I would include YouTube links but Steam is a bit iffy with outside links and Square Enix already purged a lot of the original videos.

Fortress of Lies – NieR Automata
Significance – NieR Automata
Kaikyo – NieR Reincarnation

Miscellaneous Music:
Kaine Escape – NieR Replicant ver 1.22 (mission victory, no casualties)
Cold Steel Coffin – NieR (mission victory, took casualties)
Dispossession – NieR Replicant ver 1.22 (mission defeat)
End of YoRHa – NieR Automata (campaign victory)
Mourning – NieR Automata (campaign defeat)

As of Version 1.1, some of these songs are also repurposed for use during the Alien Hunters and Shen's Last Gift DLC quest locations. You should not need those DLCs for this mod to function, but in the event of issues simply comment out the relevant code in the XComTacticalSound.ini file.

Compatability:
This mod requires E3245’s and robojumper’s Music Modding System, and thus is incompatible with any mod that is incompatible with this. It should be compatible with any other mod otherwise, including other music mods, though there may be some issues if too many music mods are installed at once. (Addendum: after personal testing I’ve found issues with having Wwise Mms installed, so avoid installing Wwise Mms.)
Also, I am not sure if this mod is compatible with vanilla XCOM 2. It should be since there are no references to WOTC locations, but this mod was made with the WOTC modding tools, and since I have no intentions of playing a vanilla campaign in the future I have no desire to test.

The File Size:
Unfortunately, XCOM 2 uses the .wav format for it’s music. This means that the music is as high quality as it can get due to it being uncompressed, but it also means that each music file is about 50MBs. Combo that with how many songs there are in this mod and you have a really big mod.

Planned Updates in order of Priority:
Fix any reported bugs, but this mod is now feature complete.

Special Thanks to:
Keiichi Okabe for making all of this beautiful music.
Yoko Taro for making the NieR franchise.
Koda Kazuma for the displayed art.
All of the extra musicians, artists, singers, baristas, and other supportive staff who helped Yoko Taro and Keiichi Okabe make this art.
E3245 and robojumper for making the Music Modding System and the corresponding tutorial.
The two previous NieR music mods on the workshop, whose strengths and weaknesses inspired me to make this mod.
And to mod connoisseurs like you.

If you get a chance, you should check out the music from the NieR raid series from FF14 Shadowbringers, some real winners in there that mash up FF music and NieR music.

Ok, just tested it out and the INI edit did work!

Thank you very much, Blaht! :)

Okay, it's going to take longer than I thought to get to the Chosen Stronghold. There is an INI edit you can attempt to fix the issue in the meantime.

First, in this mod's XComTacticalSound.ini file, at the bottom, is the music cues for the Chosen Stronghold. Try changing MissionMusicSet="MissionSource_ChosenStronghold" to MissionMusicSet="ChosenStronghold" for the ExploreDef and CombatDef and see if that works.

If that doesn't work, then you can also simply comment out the cues entirely by putting a ; in front of the + for the cues. This should mean that you will listen to default mission music.
