Juxtapose

Description
"Cave here. Chariots. If you happen to see a man in a raincoat smoking a cigar in the next test, it's NOT Greg, Greg's still missing. We haven't identified what universe he's from yet, but he sure as hell isn't from this one. Found him crouched behind a potted plant in the office. Said he was looking for something, something was 'bothering' him apparently. Started bothering ME about the last time I saw Greg. Very annoying fella, that one. And just when I thought he was about to finally leave me alone, he spins around on his heel and says 'oh, one more thing.' Said he SAW me hiding Greg's bod- err, birthday present. Said for that he was gonna send me to the 'Columbus Dimension' or whatever he called it. Good thing he didn't know about portal technology, hah! Dropped him right into the testing track. So if you see him wandering around down there, whatever you do, do NOT engage him. If he asks you more than three questions, you're done for. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to make an unexpected donation to the incinerator. Cave Johnson, we're done here."

Happy New Year! By the time you are reading this, it'll be the brand new year of 2022. Hopefully, it's better than 2021...

Regardless, welcome to a Hammerized map of Juxtapose made by Gigopler and Mâché! (Two chambers in a row, wow!)

This map took far, far too long to properly release, but the deadline of the end of the year is what finally pushed me to release it, and boy does it feel good to have it published.

Also, unlike Reciprocal, I didn't have the time nor place to put a secret, but I make a special little something for when you solve the test. Think of it as a reward~

I won't hold you up any longer, so please, enjoy this wonderful logical puzzle!

Speical Thanks to totes maggots (Madeye) as without his feedback and suggestions, this map wouldn't be where it is today.

Can't believe it took me hours to figure it out. My brain must be going smooth.

Beautiful map. I was a bit stuck since I didn't see that I can easily stop and rearrange the cube after I used the funnel haha. I also thought the solution would become way more sophisticated after the crusher came. . Was about to overcomplicate it but then saw that it had become super easy instead ;-) Would have loved to see a harder 2nd part.
Big thumps up!

really liked the map, exellent in all ways: puzzle, looks and extra gimmicks. I would like the laser cube aim functionality from beemod. This map was released in 2022, so I don't know, if it was possible at that time.

Nice work, took a bit more than half an hour. Stumped myself for about a minute at the end wondering how to get to the new exit before realizing that the fizzler was no longer a problem :steamfacepalm:

For an extra challenge (not really) you can try to get the cube to the end with you. This is the kind of stuff I would love to see in a campaign, it felt very much like a Wheatley test with everything being broken and breaking.

Awesome! I love the art therapy style and this level utilizes it spectacularly! The puzzle is great, the atmosphere is great,...I really can't ask for more. Thumbs up and fav.!

Shut up and take my 10/10.

I almost never give those out, but I’m doing so here, not only for the fantastic puzzle (which I know is Gig’s creation - played the original already), but your extraordinary Hammer work gives it at least 2 extra points. especially the end. I absolutely love little mini-puzzles like that, especially when they’re weaved into a chamber due to some sort of malfunction. It’s particularly special when you’ve already played the main puzzle. Well done.

It was funny, because I kept thinking you actually made the puzzle slightly harder towards the end of the test - I spent the first 10 minutes just looking around and appreciating the unique style of this chamber, so I think I actually spent more time on this playthrough than my initial run -- but I really don’t think you did, the various surfaces were just organized in a manner different enough to confuse me a little -- but not too much. Which is actually one of the best outcomes you can ask for in a remake.

And then the end came. And it was actually , slightly harder, than the original. :P
