Description
Briefing for Operation codename " Rusty Cage "


" The informant that gave us the intel about the bioweapon has been caught and is now waiting to be executed in a remote junkyard converted into a temporary base. The incident caused a lot of confusion and distrust amongt the terrorists who are now divided amongst themselves. Us destroying the bioweapon and a snitch being caught caused a lot of chaos and they are starting to kill anyone who's been suspected of collaborating with our snitch. They want to make an example out of our informant so they have prepared something special for him... and they are going to make a video out of it. They are now recording but we are here just in time to stop them. Save him at all cost. We also want to save any possible defectors with valuable intelligence to help our fight against the organization. "

Given the easier nature of night missions, I spiced it up just a little bit. Hopefully everything works as intended, tell me what you think.

Very fair difficulty wise, don't listen to the other guy.

Though I want to point out that the fuse box on the NE building doesn't do anything, and that I need to walk my guys right next to the generators by the lights in the scrapyard to work with them.

Did you to kill every hostile on the map? That should complete the mission. But thanks for reporting I'll see what I can do.

The hostage cages are too small, I got 4 hostages stuck in them and can't finish the mission. Would be a cool map, but unfortunately that's a mission-blocker.

I don't make easy maps. Again, sorry you found them to be unfair or too hard or unfun, maybe they're just not for you. The map is definitly beatable but it's gonna take more than a few tries, and it's intended. Can't imagine what you'd say about pif35 maps lol.

Again, all the others in this series have been annoying, but feel beatable. This one just doesn't.

Thanks for the feeback @Kon. Sorry you couldn't beat the map, it's brutal for sure and I can understand it can also be frustrating. I'm in the process of replaying all my maps for youtube, can't wait to get to this one it's one of my favorites. I'll see then how it is, it's been a while.

This is the first of the missions in this where I'm just not gonna do it. The other ones have been tough but at least feel doable at 3 stars. This one just isn't. There's to many blind corners with high power enemies at long distances. Coupled with a time limit and its just really fucking annoying and not very fun.The only real way I could see this improving is to have some other start points.

@Ganjirah, thank you so much! Overall the map is really good, and I wouldn't say it's unfair, it's just very overwhelming. There's only so much you can do with 6 operators against a literal company of bad guys. I'll give it a spin whenever possible :)

@.Basas Sorry you found the map was unfair. I like my maps to be challenging and recommend a fully trained squad to play them. Difficulty is very subjective and it's hard to balance as a map maker. I have a lof of hours into both games so I like my maps to have plenty of bad guys with alt spawns and ambushes otherwise I personally find them too easy when play-testing, but given the size of this particular map I think it works and is pretty doable. Nontheless I added two more operators based on your feedback, hopefully it helps. Thanks for playing.
