Portal Music Mod

Description
Hello investors!

Now, I know Ridiculon and Mudeth have made some pretty neat soundtracks for The Binding Of Isaac, but I'm here to offer you a unique experience of sound like no other. Introducing from the Aperture Science Psychoacoustics Laboratory, I present to you:

The Portal Music Mod!

Think of this as a custom audio stimulus package that's sure to change up the ballgame when it comes to those same old music tracks. With hits from Kelly Bailey and Mike Morasky from both Portal games, you'll be experiencing a whole different kind of tone with these sounds. Not to mention that we have unique audio for the introduction and one* particular cutscene!

(*number is subject to change in the future)

I'd like to give a huge shoutout to https://15.ai/ for providing the text-to-speech voice for GLaDOS in the intro voiceover (and for any future audio replacements I decide to do?). That website is amazing at what it does and I'm grateful it exists.

If you're wondering, yes, this is compatible with the Soundtrack Menu Mod! But it also works as a base soundtrack, so it isn't required. Use as you desire.

Let me know if you spot anything odd about the OST or have suggestions for improvements in the comment section! Let's start off 2022 with a timeless throwback to 2007/2011 with one of Valve's achievements in gaming history.

Cave Johnson Purist the Specter, we're done here.

contender for the best music mod out there. I love the dynamic soundtrack in Issac and its a shame other music mods dont take advantage of it.

the mod doesn't seem to be working ive uninstalled and reinstalled many times but there isnt any files in the mods menu just the metadata file

i was thinking the same about the menu, but unfortunately having the menu is the only way the mod works ;( i think ill just have to put up with regular intro and menu music

To erkp3rky:

As far as I understand from my testing, that issue stems from it being used by the Soundtrack Menu Mod. I'm guessing it's like that since you can only configure the thing once you're in-game, and not outside of it, so having different menu themes would be a little pointless. If you use it without the Soundtrack Menu, the title screen and intro music should work as normal.

... unless you're not using the Soundtrack Menu, in which case, God help you, I don't know what could be causing that. But regardless, I'm glad you like it and the Beast sequence so much! Means a lot.

also i should probably add it doesnt work on the title screen on character select, nor the intro

makes the beast fight and its lead up through the flashback floors one of the most epic sequences in gaming history thank you

To Dr. Logan:

I worked on the Rain World Soundtrack replacement mod for a good while, but I kind of hit a wall when making it... I have several spots in my song list that I wasn't able to fill, and all of them are fighting songs. Turns out, Rain World doesn't actually have all that many intense battle tracks compared to TBOI. If I were to fill them all, I'd have to retread several times over, and I'd rather not do that if I can help it. Maybe I'll come back to it and find a solution for that someday, but if you have suggestions to fix it, I'm all ears.

... anyway! Hope you enjoy this one as much as the last one!

...Oh!
Before I forget, you talked about doing a Rain World replacement sometime.
Is that perhaps in the works, or has it been shelved for now...?
Holly 10 Mar, 2022 @ 10:01pm
Dang, I didn't even realize you made this.

Well, your Half-Life OST Replacement was amazing, so I'll give this a try as well.
