History:
In the last months of World War II, the Polish Second Army, under General Karol Świerczewski, took part in the Soviet drive on Berlin. Part of Marshal Ivan Konev's 1st Ukrainian Front, the Poles operated in the centre of the front, flanked on the right by the 5th Guards Army and on the left by the 7th Mechanized Corps. Opposing these forces was the 4th Panzer Army under General Fritz-Hubert Gräser, of Field Marshal Ferdinand Schörner's Army Group Center.

On 17 April, the Polish Second Army breached German defenses on the rivers Weisser Schöps and Neisse. Their pursuit of retreating German forces toward Dresden threatened to cut off additional forces in the Muskauer Forst region. On 18 and 19 April elements of the Second Army (the 8th Infantry Division and 1st Armored Corps) engaged the Germans in the south and pushed them back while the remaining units (5th, 7th, 9th and 10th infantry divisions) drove on to Dresden, gaining bridgeheads on the River Spree north of Bautzen and destroying German forces in the Muskauer Forst. The following day Soviet units of the 7th Mechanized Corps captured parts of Bautzen and secured the line south of Niesky, taking Weißenberg and trapping several German formations.

Świerczewski decided to prioritize the taking of Dresden over securing his southern flank, deviating from the plan he was given by Konev. Meanwhile, Schörner was concentrating his units (the "Görlitz Group") in the Görlitz (Zgorzelec) and Reichenbach region, and planned to launch a counteroffensive at the southern flank of the Polish Army. His aim was to stop the 1st Front's advance and break through to Berlin to relieve the trapped 9th Army. The Germans were pinning their hopes on the idea that the Soviets might be fended off long enough for the city to be surrendered to the Western Allies. The concentration of Schörner's units went unnoticed by Soviet and Polish reconnaissance.

About the new project. We're currently creating maps and vehicle skins. There will be approximately 250-300 new German infantry units. By that, I mean new skins, badges, regiments/divisions. There will be hero figures that you can also take into battle. There will be modified vehicles, such as the Kübelwagen "medic" version with a stretcher on it, and a matching wounded soldier who will get a bloody skin. Things are going a bit slowly at the moment because a lot of typing is required in the files. A lot of research and gathering all the details, badges, symbols, etc. The big problem is that we're waiting for the English faction; we won't be adding any other English units. Everything will remain based on GoH. Oh, and there will be bushes and grass for the vehicles and helmets, as well as newly textured tents/camouflage nets/crates, and many other small parts.

Uwo: Looking forward to whatever you make...

...especially if its a early war campaign, from Axis (German, Hungarian, Romanian, Italian, Finnish) perspective :)

All of this takes time to maintain quality and to offer you new content. The focus will be the single/co-op player experience. A gigantic area has been broken down into view maps and you will be able to play one or more complete Allied operations, or on the other hand you have to try and stand up to the advancing Allies and of course there are targets that must be met here too. All of this will be available in doctrine style or 10 flags. The missions have been greatly improved and now offer even more enemy waves, aircraft attacks, and enemy patrols. It's going to be gigantic and made with a lot of love. Please be patient. You won't regret it. Big names are working on this huge project, each of which is known for their cool mods. Of course, we're also incorporating user requests we've heard over the past few years and even creating completely new ones. :skull_metal: We're doing our best for you. Stay strong and enjoy the summer.:gohtiger:

@Dear friends of this mod: There will be very little new here this summer. We are working on a great new mod that offers you everything like here and more. There will be even more historical information and it will be more accurate than ever before. New uniforms with the correct insignia and other markings. Meticulously researched battlefields and, of course, Google Maps/Earth imports of the maps. Hero figures and special squads (specially created units) will have uniforms in a quality never seen here before. New historically accurate camouflages for the tanks and all other vehicles of the Wehrmacht and Waffen XX. (I have currently recreated 4 different camos for 80% of all German vehicles. The new mod will have 2 huge campaigns that will be co-op ready. The maps will have various multiplayer modes.
