Description
I was planning to release this yesterday but I didn't make It.
Oh well: Happy new year guys!

This mod adds two new elite melee units for the Skaven roster, respectively:

-Skitteritch's Reclaimers (Halberds) [capped at 1]
-Skitteritch's Reclaimers (Sword & Shield) [capped at 1]

They are only available through the Skavenblight building chain, this means that while you are supposed to mainly get them with clan Skyre you can also get them with the other major clans if you re-take Its ruins, or take It by force/confederation during your campaign, notice that you'll need a tier 3 Clan Armoury too (clanrat building chain).
Here's my custom lore bit for these units: "This host of elite Stormvermins fight in the name of the long lost Skitteritch clan. To honor the memory of Grasshk Maloeil they voluntarily sacrifice one eye to replace It with a chunk of raw Warpstone. They will not rest until Estalia and all of the Southern Realms will be burned to the ground."

Ok, presentation over: let's dive into the technical stuff!

*BALANCE*

Statwise They are a slightly stronger version of the Council Guard.
In my opinion they are strong but not OP.
Keep in mind that I have tested them in custom battles only though.
That means that I'm not taking into account Lord's Campaign Bonuses.
If you have suggestions for possible buffs or nerfs let me know down in the comment section!
I'm open to changes!
NOTICE: The units' stats screenshot was taken with the unit size setting set to large, so expect more HP and unit models if you are playing on Ultra.

*COMPATIBILITY*

As far as I know this mod works with pretty much everything that do not mess too much with vanilla units.
I'm playing the game with 100+ different mods and everything is working fine!
The mod is NOT save compatible.
If you want these elite Stormvermins in your campaign you'll have to start a new one.

*KNOWN ISSUES*
-none, for now.

*UPDATES POLICY*

Let me be straight with you...when the mod status change from updated to outdated....if you start to spam in the comment section things like "update pls, OMG UPDATE, can we have an update my good sir?, UpDaTe!1!1!1" and similar stuff....know that https://media.giphy.com/media/e3URFlLQywEPC/giphy.gif


...But jokes aside: please don't do that.
When it becomes necessary, and when I can, I will update my stuff, do not worry.

As a matter of fact I'm officially retired from SFO/Overhaul related mods.
As always: If you already have previous experience in SFO submodding feel free to make an SFO version out of any of my mods that are currently missing one, I will link your submods if you provide me with a link.
-"If they are Stormvermins why did you use Queek's model?"
I did want to use base Stormvermins but H3ro asset editor Is currently giving me back pure white textureless models whenever I try to open anything Stormvermin-related. Probably a recent bug of the latest version.
Queek's model was the next best thing so I ended up using It as a base for my custom units and I'm pretty satisfied with the current results anyway.
When the Stormvermin models problem will be fixed I might return to work on this mod to add some faces from them, so that these units can look less like a Queek's clones armada.
-"Skaven caring for things like honor and traditions? Not very Skaven-like. Plus, you based elite melee units in Skavenblight with Clan Skyre of all places! The guys that love to use nukes and ratling guns! That clashes pretty hard!"
Yeah I'm well aware of all of that but Skavenblight It's the closest main Skaven city to the Southern Realms and It Is also known to be a beacon for ALL of the Skaven kind, not only Clan Skyre.
-"Weren't Albino rats known to be the most elite/strong units in the Skaven roster following their fur-caste system?"
On paper yes: Albino Stormvermins are one of the greatest and most disciplined military forces that the Skaven can muster.
In practice? I personally think that Queek's red guard would kick their butts any day of the week in a 1vs1.
These units are slightly stronger than the Council Guard and I don't regret nothing, deal with It.
-"Do they work with Throt's laboratory?"
No idea. I do have The Twisted & The Twilight DLC now but I still don't know nothing about Throt's laboratory.
That said: I did give them the Throt's laboratory purchasable effects but I can't guarantee that everything Is going to work properly, come back and give some feedback about that after you tested It and I'll see If I can do something about It.
-"The Great Horned Rat doesn't like caps-caps!"

I don't think so.
I played around with a bunch of test dummies with that animation to see what I could achieve and so far I only got the following:
-The engineers support the ranged attacks...but since that animation It's tied to a specific ability they look odd when they are shooting normal ammo.
They look weird when they shoot and reload, they are generally slow and awkward and even if you change the ammo display to Jezzails' ammo they will still load and shoot the doomrocket first.
Again: your best bet Is to find someone who can either help You with converting the Handgunner/Thunderer animations to be compatible with Skaven models or make an improved Jezzails animation that actually look like Handgunner/Thunderer animations.
I can't help You with that.

i was doing some digging, there is a skaven animation set that could pass for a rifle. the warplock engineer and his staff/gun/shootey thing
would that suffice?

The Skaven models' skeletons are only compatible with Skaven animations.
By forcing animations that are exclusive to other skeleton types (Human Hangunners/Dwarf Thunderers) You'll only obtain a mangled model with a broken animation.
Unless you make a new custom animation from scratch or repurpose an existing animation, that Is.
So Yeah, Out of the question (at least from me) .

thanks for pointing me in the right direction, so im assuming just having a skaven mesh with a human or even zombie handgunner animation is out of the question?

Sorry, I don't make custom animations.
What you are asking would require to either create a new custom animation from scratch or repurpose the Handgunners/Thunderers animations for the Skaven models.

Hello, i'm new to the Skaven, and i was wondering if anyone would be interested in making a Skaven "Handgunner" equivalent, i know there is the "Warplock Jezails"and the "Ratling Gunners" but im thinking something like a more conventional non weapon team type of ranged infantry.
