Description

Have you ever wondered what Husks used to be like?
This mod aims to re-implement Legacy Husk Infection mechanics into the game as faithfully as posslble.

No matter how you die, if you're infected, the parasite will take over your corpse and stand right back up to turn on your friends!

Low on calyxanide? Broad-Spectrum Antibiotics are very effective at treating this non-adapted strain of the husk parasite recovered from the abyss!

No more guessing games since this infection is guaranteed! Slow it down with a diving suit or treat it entirely.

Watch your airlocks and avoid old-model diving suits, lest you want this to be your last mission!

Spread the infection to your friends to extend your own life! Whenever you reach max infection, you will take damage over time that can only be stopped with morphine or by attacking your fellow crewmember.

mod still works, and it is compatible with improved husks only in the sense that it does not directly conflict with it. this does not replace default husk infection!

this mod works again by the way, maybe a few console errors when crawlerhusks spawn, but i'll deal with them later

as i said below, updates for this mod are on hold temporarily, because i am working on a much higher quality mod called WITHERING SOULS which will add 24 unique special zombies that can all form naturally during gameplay, as well as campaign modification and an adjusted endgame. there's plenty of lore for it and it's pretty difficult but i hope people enjoy it once we finish the honestly over-zealous update

Is this mod still being worked on? Because this is easily one of the mods of all time, kind of a shame they changed the Husk system in the first place.

legacy restoration project's husk infection is separate, this one replaces husk
