Description
"This light-weight scout is a carrier and completely relies on two small Gun Units pretty well equipped for ice cavern exploration. They can outpace this mobile recharge base and get where she can't, but also serve almost just as well in the role of stationary turrets, or even as extra engine power. The submarine itself is hardly a convenient transport and is only a bit less claustrophobic than her shuttles, the only upsides being the crafting stations aboard, the speed, and the generous price."

Shuttles: are very fast. Can't make use of full speed consistently and it's very hard to control them at speed above ~50 km/h.

Since latest updates shuttle pilots should keep medicine with them at all times as during attack the hull shrapnel will almost inevitably hurt them.

HORIZON LIGHT CARRIER SUBMARINE MANUAL


Good time of day, Captain. For the sake of your optimal performance as sailors of the Coalition, it is heavily advised to familiarize yourself and a few of your crewmates with the vital information below.

Overview:

Horizon is a delicate vessel built for exploration and medium-length voyages across the upper layers of Europa. The captain is the one whose input makes the biggest difference towards the outcome of each sailing. The gunners also have more responsibilities than most of the times, with the mini-submarines of their own to take care of. Engineers however, while having a whole bunch of electrical equipment to maintain, don't have as much need to stick to the nuclear reactor because of the batteries compensating for most of the power fluctations.

Tips:

1. A Spheric Gun Unit's performance is determined by the two batteries that power essential systems and pumps directly, but when it comes to horizontal movement and weapons, they have a bottleneck of charge in the supercapacitor. Accelerating the Gun Unit is always playing with fire due to how uncontrollable it gets, and the energy supply can get very finite when you need to move away from the carrier. S.G.U. batteries have identical outputs and most likely will depower together.

2. You can toggle a command in the navigation terminal to use the shuttles battery charge as powersource for the Horizon. It is useful when you don't expect to sortie them and want some extra power in the grid, for example to get your submarine batteries to last a very long time. When activated, the shuttle batteries will stop charging and divert most of power to the submarine, but as they are still connected to the dock they are simply turning into additional batteries. After disabling this command you'll need to manually set desired battery charge. If you want to do that before disabling the command, to keep shuttle batteries online for longer, toggle the yellow switch inside.

3. Inside the Gun Units everything is cramped together, but if you are aquainted with the layout, you shouldn't have issues accessing anything. Every installation is at the very least mostly visible, and the engine can be repaired from the inside by crouching at the bottom of the shuttle. The only air source in the shuttles is from the oxygen tank shelf/the diving suit; before an expedition the crewmember needs to make sure the shelf is full of airtanks and that they have an oxygen mask, and/or a diving suit for each person.

4. Spheric Gun Units' Navigation Monitors have a command to turn off engines and pumps. Useful both for carefully timed maneuvers and when you simply want the shuttle to stay fixed in one spot without spending extra power. Additionally there's a green switch to turn off lighting, alarm and oxy tank refill, for power-saving purposes.

5. Most hatches are opened and closed with buttons, which makes it possible to control the waterflow; make sure to use it for your advantage. Inside the Carrier, most of the time during leaks you should focus on fixing the shells and keeping the pumps operational, and leave it to the system to get the water drained and sent into the pumps. When in a necessity you can either unlock the ballast duct blocks, or lock the armory ducts (requires disabling anti-flood system), to get the water where you want it to be.

In a Gun Unit, flooding the docking airlock or even the whole interior can give a quick boost downwards at a cost of small damage to the electronics (remember to lock the outer hatch when you need to go up again). Disabling the pumps will help in doing this maneuver.

הזי well I think I fixed that issue. I believe it was the old vanilla version somehow not bing backwards compatible fully or sth. I just resaved the sub and didn't have error in lobby again. same issue was for Stingray, the fully vanilla sub so it'd be probably unrelated to that mod.
I have to say some things about shuttles also didn't work as intended but I think I fixed the main problems now. Sure feels weird to revisit your old designs, especially when it comes to wiring. I also buffed their walls just a bit cos in new balance it's a bit too rough with just 100 or 50 shell HP.

im pretty sure its the vertical hatches mod atleast thats what it says
the ship works totally fine still from what i can tell in singleplayer just cant select it in multiplayer
it says "mismatching content packages... requires Vanilla, (Outdated) Vertical Hatches"

i have no modding experience or anything like that but my guess considering the ship works fine is that it just thinks the mod is not there because the name of the mod when loaded in Barotrauma is still "Vertical Hatches" not "(Outdated) Vertical Hatches"

either that or its mad that i am not playing Vanilla or both maybe idk

@הזי ok, if I get to it; you sure it's that mod doing it? I thought only hatch sprite was outdated on it a bit.

plzz update to fix the doors the outdated mod makes it not loadable in multiplayer
