Intel Expanded

Description
This mod now requires Repeating Script Templates.

This mod expands the Intel system in several ways:
  • At sufficient intel, you can see other empires' policies, edicts, technologies, ascension perks, and more
  • Some intel is needed to see other empires' opinions of and attitudes towards third-party empires.
  • In most cases, opinion is only affected by policies such as slavery policy, bombardment policy, and overlord power once the AI has enough information to deduce the relevant information. Similarly, AI acceptance of agreements is based only on intel the AI has.

Additional and newly-restricted intel

(Below information is available either through new buttons in the diplomacy interface or through mapmodes. Information on starbases is also available through an "view starbase details" option on the fleet interface.)

Government Intel:
  • Medium: Ascension Perks, Tradition Categories, Policies, Relics, Low Intel on factions with >20% support
  • High: Traditions, Species Rights, Edicts, High Intel on all factions, Minor Artifacts, Unity income and stockpile, Council, Launched Agendas
  • Full: in-progress Agendas
Diplomatic Intel:
  • Low: Communications, Opinion of other empires
  • Medium: Attitudes towards other empires, Federation cohesion, experience, and laws
  • High: In-progress First Contacts, Other empires' opinions of and attitudes towards this one, Influence income and stockpile
  • Full: Intel
Technology Intel:
  • Low: Tech Power by Tech Category
  • Medium: Researched Technologies
  • High: Current Research, Research income and stockpile, unlocked Astral Actions
(Research agreements also give most of this intel)
Economic Intel:
  • Low: Trade Value
  • High: Income and stockpile of basic, manufactured, and strategic resources
  • Full: Income and stockpile of research and unity
Military Intel:
  • Low: Starbase Types
  • Medium: Starbase Modules
  • High: Starbase Buildings
(Starbase types and modules are also visible for all starbases in sensor range)

AI opinion and agreements
  • Opinion of slavery policy, bombardment policy, interference policy, and xenophagy only apply if the AI either has enough intel to see the relevant policy or has seen it in effect (e.g. by being in sensor range of a planet being indiscriminately bombarded).
  • Opinion and agreement-acceptance from shared allies, shared rivals, alliances with rivals, and rivalries with allies, only apply with the AI can see the relevant rivalries and/or alliances.
  • The subject power opinion penalty only applies when the subject in question can see their overlord's overall power or military power.
  • Opinion effects from civics still always apply since civics with opinion effects will always be deducible from government type.
  • The opinion effect from the Guardian of the Galaxy Ascension Perk always applies.
  • Opinion from threat always applies since calcualating when it shouldn't in script would be infeasible.
  • In the absence of intel on trade value and technology power, acceptance of research and commercial pacts is based on estimates of the same based on ethics, traits, and (given enough intel) overall relative power.
  • In the absense of intel on exact fleet power, acceptance of subjugation and of various pacts is based on an estimate of the same based on either low-granularity relative fleet power or, failing that, ethics and overall relative power.
  • Federation acceptance is still based on actual fleet power for the time being since scripted modifiers to acceptance don't seem to be used when voting.

1 Decrease the number of overwriten files. 2 Decrease risks of incompatibility with Stellaris and other mods. 3 Prevent me from cheating by overintel. 4 Don't change AI opinion and agreements. 5 Mod size: Currently Intel Expanded + Repeating Script Templates = 36MB

@Hoche Neuwled: Sorry I forgot about your question for so long.

To answer it: this mod already lets you see that. I don't particularly see the point of separating that out from the rest of the mod, is it for compatibility reasons?

@SHiFT_DeL3TE: It does not work with ironman mode.

this work with ironman mode?

Sorry to ask you, but could you make a smaller mod that only reveal stockpile of basic, manufactured, and strategic resources when full intel, so I can make deals with my allies and vassals without crushing their economies?

Yeah as soon as I disabled this mod everything worked again.

As far as I can tell this is the only mod I have that affects diplomacy stuff and I've had a bug for the entirety of a new save where I can't use certain diplomacy options despite fulfilling the requirements, namely I can't establish embassies or propose subjugation

@Watchman: bug.

(sorry I took so long to respond, I'm on holiday in Germany RN)
