Description
Warlock Enhanced

This adds enhancements and changes to the Warlock Class with the intention of adding more variety of recruitable units and summons.

Update 26/02/2022:
Added Descriptions and a few little changes, look at the changelog page for details.

Class Changes

Standard Roster has been replaced with a Warlock Specific (See Picture) of Planeswalkers. Humanoids that travel the elemental planes and have basic resistances to all the elementals. (Blunt resistance represents resistance to blasts of water and strong earth attacks, Planeswalkers have this resistance as do a few other units.)

Standard Unit Changes

Removed Phoenix from Fire Champion summon, I personally hate getting this summon and never want it over the other options and hate vsing any A.I with immortal scouts. Plus it’s the least phoenixy looking phoenix I’ve ever seen.

Elemental warriors
All: Gained all item slots.
Wave Warrior: Went from 10 to 8 HP but gained Slash, Pierce and Blunt Res.
Cloud Warrior: New Sprite, Gained Flying.
Ember Warrior: Gained Ember Halberd which deals some fire damage.
Stone Warrior: Gained Blunt Res and Passwall.

Elemental champions
Reduce Armor of Water Champion but gained Slash, Pierce and Blunt Res.

New sprites for Fire Lizard, Kings of Fire and Kings of Earth, Magma Child and Earth Gnome.

Class Additions

My descriptions won’t give the new additions justice, please look at the infographic above to see the range of additions to the Warlock.

New Elemental Pact Ice
The Ice Beings and Rituals were split out of Water and into the new Warlock of Ice rituals. There are also many new units and rituals to experience.

Summon Variety in standard Elemental Summons
Many more elemental beings have been added to all the standard Lesser and Greater Elemental Summons.

Para-Elemental Summons
There is now much more variety for Para-Elemental summons beyond just ‘Warriors’ and the rituals have been rebalanced in terms of cost and summon strength.

Corrupt Elemental Pacts
Warlock Apprentices can now make Pacts with Corrupted Elements, Banefire, Blightwater, Foulwind and Illearth. These Pacts cut the Warlock off from the normal Elementals but allow access to the Corrupted ones.

These Pacts offer additional powers, attacks and resistances to the Warlocks who take them.

Each Pact has their own Lesser, Greater, Champion and Elemental Royalty (With their own Orbs) Summon as well as some of standard elemental rituals and special land conversion ritual.

Pact Recruitment

Every Elemental Pact Unlocks Corresponding recruits at your citadels.

Each Pact gets
Denizen of Element: A Front Rank appropriately themed melee type unit.
Bender of Element: A Mid Rank appropriately themed archer type unit.
Bender on Disc of Element: A Back Rank appropriately themed siege type unit.

Known Issues

You can’t add units as Elemental Types such as Water and Fire and Some weapons do bonus damage vs elemental types and I can’t do either.
You can’t give units with the ‘Hates Elemental Type’ trait like the Elemental Giants have which targets types of elementals when they are in the same tile.

You can’t implement ritual cost reduction that warlocks get as they level up for their primary ritual type

You can’t set Unique Names like how the standard Elemental Royalty have, so my new Elemental Royalty have their name in their description.

A Note

Not all the sprites were made by me, many are inspired/modified Illwinter or other modders sprites although many are my own I can’t outright say this is all my work.

Sorry for the trouble, I think it might actually just be the version I'm playing, since I'm running the "Legacy" version, i was just surprised that all of your mods work fine except for Warlock & Demonologist enhanced.

If its fine for you its probably just some conflict with my computer (macOS so I have to use the Legacy version), I removed all other mods and same issue with both Warlock & Demonologist, as I said I just found it odd because all your other mods work fine.

I'm not actively working on it, but I can fix a bug. But I have this on all the time and it doesn't crash.

My first instinct would be that it's in conflict with another mod, Like one of the overhaul mods.

Probably my favorite of your "enhanced" mods, shame the game does not let me play without crashing.

I understand you are no longer working on it and so I have no expectation that it will be fixed, just wanted to put this here in case anyone else had this issue or anything like that.

I mentioned before in suggestions but you could use the Dominions 5 sprites for some of the giants. The Devi of Darkness fits with Illearth, Lord of the Summer Plague for Banefire, and maybe one of the teotl for water.

If Blightwater was replaced by a madness themed corrupt element what would the aesthetic be?

Good suggestion, I've been meaning to review this mod and actually split out the Corrupt Warlocks into their own class, but that requires adding some extra content, like the missing corrupt giants.

Fowlwind benders are Busted in comparison to Literally ALL the other benders, their 8 initiative + the high disease chance + the 1 unpreventable magic damage.
Would be better if the Fowlwind big elementals did the Blightning. and these guys did fowlwinds

wow glad i asked xD thanks for the response. I always thought it was a little weird you couldnt choose like maybe start as an apprentice but have enough gems to make a pact.

Nope wasn't possible when I made the mod, I haven't kept up with the latest modding options though.

I was thinking of letting the player start with a special warlock that lets choose the warlock you start with with a ritual but never got around to it and it's a bit of a janky solution.

I wanted to ask is it possible to start as an ice warlock? ive been trying for a few hours to no avail
