Description
Mech expansion bundle. The mod adds 6 completely new mechs to the game. Each mech has specific characteristics and use purpose. Some of them have special abilities. All mechs are AI compatible. They are buildable from Mech Factory according to their tech level.

This mod is an expansion pack to "The Rise Of Mechs" mod, but it is a standalone item and You don't need to have the main mod downloaded.


A short description of each mech:


Small mechs:

Marksman Mech ($3000) - Long range sniper unit. Can attack both land and air targets. Great for taking out enemy strategic units/buildings from distance. Can see further through fog. Unlike artillery units, this mech is better at dealing with single targets due to the need to reload after each shot. Also the Marksman Mech can easily destroy fast moving targets. Useful in defense and as support during assault.

Rocket Launcher Mech ($3000) - Fire 2 strong unguided rockets with area effect. The projectiles targets ground, so they are less effective with moving targets. Equipped with a light shield. Can attack only land units. Ideal for attacking slow heavily armoured units and buildings. The mech needs to reload a while after firing 2 rockets.


Medium mechs:

Breaker Mech ($10000) - Heavily armored and armed, but slow. Equipped with a strong energy cannon, which do heavy direct and area damage in a small radius (but without decreasing with distance). The energy cannon need to recharge a few seconds after firing 6 shoots. Can attack only ground units/buildings in a small range. A few Breaker Mechs can easily break almost any frontline.

Mortar Mech ($10000) - Four-legged mobile mortar. Fast, but very weakly armored. Must be deployed to be able to fire. Can fire projectiles at extreme distances, howewer it has a minimal attack range. The Mortar Mech has 2 firing modes: automatic (normal auto targeting) and manual (via action menu). Useful both in attack and defense. Of course the mortar can not target and damage air vehicles.

Railgun Mech ($25000) - Long range artillery/sniper unit. Equipped with a powerful railgun that deals massive direct and area damage. The railgun shoots almost instant hitting projectiles, attacks only land targets and has a minimal attack range. The mech has also a medium size plasma gun for defense, which can attack both land and air units, but its firepower and range are limited. It has a shield and can slowly self repair. Not cost-effective for direct combat due to low armour durability.


Large mech:

Laser Beam Mech ($80000) - The most expensive of all 18 mechs (counting the 12 from the base mod). Armed with 2 destructive beams that disintegrate everything they come across on their way. The beams needs to recharge after firing few seconds. It has also a double barreled laser turret with high fire rate. Equipped with a very strong shield. This one has no movement speed penalties (can move like other medium/large mechs) and can walk over water. Versatile unit, but it is best against strong opponents in small numbers.

*Note that the mod doesn't include walls. By the way the last 2 screenshots have some mechs available in the main mod.
