Description
Mech expansion bundle. The mod brings 12 completely new mechs. Each mech has specific characteristics and use purpose. Some of them have special abilities. All mechs are AI compatible. They are buildable from Mech Factory according to their tech level.

A short description of each mech:

Small mechs:

-Scout Mech ($1000) - Fast, lightly armoured mech, equipped with a light machine gun. Designed to scouting and desactivating in short time laser defence. Able to see far in fog of war. Can deploy a hologram for distract the enemy units and turrets. The hologram can receive damage, but can not damage ennemies (can still shoot something like holo projectiles). The hologram disappears after 30 seconds. The mech is not cost-effective in direct combat.

-Shotgun Mech ($2500) - Do high damage to ground units/buildings at close range with area effect. Has a light shield. Very effective against groups of small units.

-Burst Cannon Mech ($3000) - Universal light mech that can attack both ground and air ennemies. Equipped with a light shield. Useful in many situations. Most effective in small groups.

-Nuclear Mech ($9000) - Fast mech that detonates itself near ennemies ground units/buildings. Do massive damage to all units (also it own team) in a large area. The explosion damages also air units. Can be disarmed.

Medium mechs:

-Building Destroyer Mech ($6000) - Four-legged mech, equipped with a long range beam. Do 3 time more damage to buildings. Can still attack ground and air targets. Very weak.

-Command Mech ($7500) - Fast mech that attacks both ground and air units/buildings. Can see far in fog of war. Can be upgraded 3 times. Last upgrades gives 3 options to choose 1 of them. Upgrades costs $ and requires kills but don't requires time. Every upgrade gives better range, more Hp or shield, faster Hp and shield regen.

List of upgrades/Command Mech versions [upgrade price, number of kills required to upgrade (total number)]:
-Mk 1 ($7500,0 - base level) - 2 machine guns, basic statistics
-Mk 2 ($7500,15) - the above + 8 unguided land rockets with area damage, better mg's damage
-Mk 3 ($15000,50) - the above + 8 guided land and air missiles replace the rockets, higher mg's fire rate
-Mk 4 ($30000,100) - 3 options (the above +) :
A - significant mg's rate of fire and damage improvements, missiles do more direct damage, "Instant shield regen" ability. Most useful against strong units.
B - lower mg's fire rate, but explosives rounds with high damage, better area damage and higher area damage radius for missiles, "Istant shield regen" ability. Most useful against groups of units/buildings
C - laser defence, can repair nearby units, minimal mg's improvements, without missiles, "Don't shoot" ability (for 30 seconds can not be attacked and damaged, but also can not attack; can still repair and intercept projectiles). Less effective in combat than Mk 4 A and B

More profitable when upgrading one or few Command Mech. The first levels (Mk 1 and 2) are not very cost-effective in comparison to others units. Mk 4 Command Mechs are more powerful than all the others mechs.

-Missile Mech ($8000) - Long range ballistic missile artillery unit. Fires a long barrage of missiles, but need to recharge a while after each salvo. Can attack only grounds targets. Light armour. A good alternative to artillery units/turrets.

-Sniper Mech ($12000) - Very long range. Can attack ground and air units/buildings. Equipped with 2 silenced plasma cannons. Can teleport (blink) itself to close destinations. Not effective in direct combat. Ideal for eliminating by surprise enemy units/buildings and fastly retire back. Also not bad in defending strategic points.

-Runner Mech ($12000) - Very fast mech that can attack both ground and air units/buildings. Has cannons able to fire fast projectiles. Do average damage in comparison to its high price. Ideal for pursuits and ambushes. "Overcharge" ability - double the mech movement speed and accelerates the shield regen rate 5 time for 15 seconds.

-Assault Mech ($16000) - Universal medium mech, equipped with an auto cannon and a quad missile launcher. Good armour and shield, medium range. Can attack ground and air. Do well in most situations, but the best in attack.

-Grenade Launcher Mech ($18000) - A heavier version of the Shotgun Mech. Do great area damage at close range in a big area. Can attack only ground. Very useful to destroy groups of land units or grouped buildings. Like a Flame Mech, but with much better damage and lower fire rate.

Large mech:

-Colossus Mech ($40000) - Very heavily armored and armed. Equipped with 4 long range cannons and a mortar. Mortar projectiles cover a large area. Low movement and turn speed. Best hp of all. Having few allied Colossus Mechs can change the fate of the battle, but pay attention to enemy air units that the mech can't attack

Great, thanks for looking into this. It's such a cool mechanic that I didn't want it to end up not being used.

After doing a few tests, I saw that the number of kills required to unlock the upgrades for the Command Mech is too high (especially for the first upgrade - most Command Mechs died before getting it). So I reduced the number of required kills by about 30-40%. It still take some time to get a mk IV, but lowering it more would make Command Mech unbalanced in comparison to other mechs.

Command mech's kill limits to upgrade seem pretty harsh, given that you're paying as well. You basically have to keep the enemy alive for a long time when you're capable overrunning them in order to get a single one to level 4.

landlocked oh man do i hear ya. practically 90% of mods break balance with atleast one op unit.

The only mod I consistently use with vanilla. Decent balance and understands balance better than other unit mods.

Cool mod bro. I beat the AI on very hard just using your mechs for combat.
