Description
=== Journey Mode Only! ===

This mod adds a single item called 'Tome of Research Sharing', allowing you to store your current Journey Mode 'researched items' to be able to share it with other players.

Notes:
* Partial research progress is only stored for modded items (because it's not set in stone, as mod developers may change the limits in their mods)
* Using the tome to gain research for modded items also works if no other mods are loaded
* Can be used in singleplayer aswell by storing the tome in a chest

Recipe: 1 Book at any Bookcase.

Damn, that's awesome. Thank you!

v0.2.1 now adds a chat message listing all the new items that were added to your existing research
thanks to @Gregarius for the suggestion!

Sure, but in a chat message that disappears after a few seconds, or reappears if the users wants by opening chat again.

I had a few hundred items get added after joining a game with Hyper Research and the person had already learned all the things using wood, stone, boreal wood, etc. It was pretty glorious, and only showed up on my screen for a few seconds since it was a chat message. I hit my enter key to open chat and go back to it and check if anything I wanted was there. Pretty useful.

It would probably cause alot of clutter since theres a few thousand items potentially being displayed

I really wish this showed you a list of all the new things you've researched, similar to the Hyper Research mod, or the Recipe Browser chat notification when you click on an enemy in the right sidebar and it posts a chat message with all the drops in the form of icons you can hover your mouse over. Besides that, very useful mod. Did a full playthrough using it with friends and it worked great, thank you.

tml handles the "failing gracefully" part, the item will have incomplete or no data in it.
And I checked again regarding "partial research"; this is not the case in regular gameplay, you only store "fully researched items" in the book. The reason modded items get a special handle is because a modder might lower the amount required to research the item in an update, and if you had the mod disabled at some point, this value will carry over and when you use the item again, it will grant you the research if possible
