Operation Black Eye (Part I)

Description
Operation Black Eye is a two-part map that I attempted to make as realistic and immersive as possible. Please read description before playing, it won't take long :)

Let me know what you think!

For the best gameplay experience:

- Set music volume to 0
- Read the briefing info and construct a plan before going in.
- Try your best to complete the map on your first try, even if that means taking casualties.
- Play the 2nd floor of the map with the same operators and gear as you had in part 1. No restarts on the 2nd floor, if your squad dies, you should play through part 1 again. Unfortunately your operators' injuries will not carry over to part 2 since proper multi-floor maps have not been implemented (yet?).

Briefing

It is April 2026. Our intelligence has located an old industrial building turned IED factory in the wooded areas of Zhovtnevyi District, Ukraine. The area is held by a platoon-size element of experienced but untrained Russian-backed rebels. There are also civilian workers in the area, making an aerial strike infeasible.

Your mission is to clear the area of hostile presence and rescue the workers. Employ lethal handhelds with care, as there are non-combatants in the area. We're also dealing with an IED factory here, so expect secondary explosives. You will need thermal torches with you to breach the chainlink fence around the perimeter as well as some exterior doors. The large spotlights lighting the area are powered by a generator in between them, destroying it can help you stay uncompromised. Lastly, the rebels tend to construct barricades in targets such as this, so you should also grab a wall charge or two.



You will infil at 0030 tonight, about 1 click away from the target. The enemy is expected to be asleep, so move quietly and maintain stealth for as long as possible. Once the objective is clear, secure the workers and escort them to the extract. If compromised, you will have approximately 15-20 minutes until possible enemy QRF reaches the target.

I really appreciate it! I do have a couple maps in the making but I'm not sure if I'll ever actually finish any of them.

The second map in the pair is also very good. I have some concerns about how to fully stealth the map given the need to wallbreach at the end, but I bet it can be managed. I'll keep an eye out for anything more you put out dude, this is good stuff with great attention to detail. Loving the solid briefing.

This is superb. One of the better stealth-capable maps available in the game.

That's completely valid, but I still stand by completely blocking the doorway. I made this with those hardcore operator types in mind, so maybe my map just isn't for you. Also I don't think it should be a problem since you know from the briefing that you're supposed to bring a wall charge.

if you want to make a tricky-entry point, make objects lower so our trooper can jump over. just do not "totally" block.

I guess I didn't make it clear enough, but the hostages are not supposed be escorted out of the room they are in. It was mentioned in the briefing that the hostages are workers of the factory, and will be dealt with once the area is secure. It's a realism thing.

I assume you mean the doors the enemy have tried to barricade. I intended it to be this way. There is only one door you can't get through without a wall charge and that is accounted for in the briefing info as well. Again, this is something that adds realism.
