M2 Carbine Replaces M16

Description
The M2 Carbine is a modified version of the well liked M1 Carbine that features a selective-fire capability. About 600,000 we're produced however very few M2 carbines saw use during World War II, what little combat it saw was mostly in the closing days against Japan in the Pacific. The M2 carbine was logistically compatible with the millions of M1 carbines in U.S. service, and offered longer range, better accuracy and better penetration than (pistol caliber) submachine guns like the M1 Thompsons and M3 Grease Guns. Therefore, after World War II, the M2 carbine largely replaced the submachine-guns in U.S. service, until it was later replaced by the M16 rifle.

This is a mod i made for Left 4 Dead 2 that replaces the M16a2 with The M2 Carbine from Rising Storm 2 Vietnam. This was my first attempt at making a weapon mod so it's not the best quality. It was a personal project that i decide to share with the community. Also because there's a lack of Ww2/Korean war era weapons. And the M2 Carbine in particular is one of my favourites.

The reload animation uses Celes animations for an M16 Mod, i know it doesn't quite fit right with this mod. i mostly just wanted to have a custom reload animation that wasn't the default Reload animation. I might make changes to the reload animation in the future. I might not who knows, this project was mostly a personal project so chances are i won't be making much of a change.

Note the field of view in the video was 70.

as i said i used an existing one because i can't create an animation, i can barely animate in SFM and wasn't gonna put much into animating FPS hands. So i used existing animations from Celes because it was the only thing i could do that wasn't default.

The model/shooting feels solid, but the reload animation doesn't really work with this gun.

For the script mod i actually used a modified version of an M16a2 script mixed with the accuracy of an m4a1 mod. I have a personal collection of script mods but i might upload an independent script mod later on for those who want use it. I will remove the infinite ammo however it's easy to add it back. If you're able to extract the files you change the ammo type to PISTOL.

i've been looking for this mate, finally. thank you for the upload. And what script mod do you use for the m16. 30 rounds with 999 reserve ammo?:steamthumbsup::steamhappy:
