Zetnus's Ludicrous Resources v2,2

Description
Ever had had the feeling that the map runs out of resources far to quickly?
Well, that will not happen on this map.
I took the ES@The_Unknown_v2 random map script and greatly increased the size and number resource clumps.

There are mods that make each resource hold 5000 instead of the default, but that breaks multiplayer compatability.
This mod is a random map that just has an insane amount of resources, so you can use it for multiplayer.

UPDATE: I've also made Ludicrous Resources versions of all the standard maps

Just choose the following when setting up a match:

Map style: Custom

Location: ZN@Ludicrous_Resources_v2.2

This is version 2.1
A map called "Ludicrous Resources" that doesn't have dedicated LudiKRIS map-size support? Ludicrous isn't it? Well, v2.1 now adds extra resources for LudiKRIS-sized maps. The old version works, but you just don't get your additional resources by map size!

I have added it as a mod for the Definitive Edition: https://www.ageofempires.com/mods/details/2239/

good point, forgot about that :P

There is no need to reboot the game. The fastest way to test maps is to repeatedly generate them in the scenario editor. You can then use windowed mode or alt+tab to make edits and observe the results.

well I got past the threshhold of doing it myself now so thanks a lot for that ^^
do I have to reboot the game every time I make adjustments to the rms? or is there a quicker way to keep spawning maps in a row?

Cool, in that case I'll be chilling :wololo:

and eventually I'll get around to updating it, and maybe making a land-only version too.

I am!
I used to do this manually with the editor which must've been a lot more work then building an RMS

the modification I made works ok for now, looks like I got the hang of it a bit and lakes/lake sizes play an important role even for none-water maps
not sure how many other people would be interested in a land only version in line with the default RMS/RLMS like me

no worries/rush about the sheep, it was an idea as I came across the sheep size generation in the file

but now, chill time!
take care

I'm glad you enjoy this map!

Yeah, it probably makes sense to keep the cattle packs from being too large so it doesn't hinder the AI. I'll change that when I update this map. The Workshop doesn't update well, so for a minor fix like this I will probably just update the map at AoK heaven.

Do you still need a no-water version of this map? I can probably make one if yours isn't working correctly... just let me know :)

btw the amount of turkeys/sheep seem to trap AI villagers with it's current amount when it gets flooded sometimes
maybe lower the size of the cattle packs a little bit?

fiddled around a bit with notepad++ with the water_map % and the amount of lakes
made a copy of your RSM with _land_ to keep em seperate and see what I can do
gonna try to see if it works, first map is a black forest with 1 small lake at least

I really loved this RMS for quite a while, and I'm considering doing this myself considering how well you've documented all the RMS scripting but I don't know when I'll get around to it
could you make an RMS with just land maps with ludicrous resources? even small lakes on black forest seem to trigger docks being build by the AI and I'd like to test things without any resources going into naval
