Description
A number of people have requested “Ludicrous Resources” versions of different maps. I am finally delivering on that and providing Ludicrous Resources versions of all the standard maps.

“Ludicrous Resources” is term that I coined to mean that that you have many more gold and stone piles and more animals. Trees are left untouched because wood usually isn’t a limiting resource. People like these maps because it means that you don’t need to worry about running out of resources nearly as quickly as you have to on normal maps. Unlike data mods (that for example give each gold pile 5000 gold), this is simply a random map, and can therefore be easily used for multiplayer.


Choose the following when setting up a match:

Map style: Custom
Location: LR_[Map_Name] (for example: LR_Arabia)

I also have ES_The_Unknown_v2 with Ludicrous Resources.

Making these maps was a lot of repetitive work, so it’s possible that I’ve made some mistakes that I didn’t catch in testing. If you find any, let me know!

After additional testing, it looks as though there is a larger problem with custom maps as a whole.

Steam version. I put the scripts in the random_maps directory with the es_maps. So did my friend. Single player works fine. It seems to think there is a data mod mismatch or something; the map seed generates as expected and I'm able to play after it disconnects my friend. Wonder if it would display different behavior if it was published with the new mod system.

I can't really comment on that. Try putting the scripts where the es_ maps are.

We were using LR_Black_Forest_v1.1. I have the game installed to a non-standard directory, so it could be related to the Definitive Edition's File Error 12.
