MergeAbleRotor

Description
As name say

This Rotor can be used with Merge block.
For people that like to use Merge blocks

Two versions for:

Large Ship
Small Ship
Small Ship Offset (For people not like Wheel model)

This rotor has no item transfer.///

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Q: Why i see Wheel ?
A: I am lazy to make 3D mesh.

Q: Why i need this?
A: If you want to make spin doors or rotating platform using merge block then this mod is for you.

Q: Why you not just use KeeN rotor and add wheel from G menu?
A: Rotor_block consist of 2 blocks in 1 block space. The rotating part is block and body is also a block.
Merge block require to have blocks in line so using regular Keen rotor and wheel model will be 3 blocks in 2 block space == will not merge. This mod replace top part with wheel so you have 2 block rotor in 2 block space.

Q: Why i can add block only to top of wheel?
A: Add mount points to side of wheel wil destroy whole idea as merge block works best if you have 1 block air gap.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Known bugs:
1. Attach large wheel top (from Large_Rotor) to Small_Rotor is not recomended (Wheel collision is bigger than whole block)
2. Any Rotor_Block will attach MergeR_Wheel part == This is not intended as Wheel model has attach point in different place for values inside Keen Rotor_Block!

I apologize I must of read right over it without thinking, I definately get what your trying to achieve now :)

@NoxiousVex if you can read i describe what problem is and this mod solve that.
Yes you can merge rotors if you use piston and push rotor to the free block space on current grid.
Small and Large grid use different sale and you can not merge large block with small one.
It is like drawing boxes on blue paper and red paper.

Sure you can merge small block arm if block space (gap) is more than one large block space (5x5x5m).
This mod just make rotor to be 2 block based so you can "merge" rotor part and stator part in small 2 block space without making merge forever.

Lastly em.. if you not like it just ignore it... somebody else might find this mod helpfull.

merging can still be done using the Keen Rotors. However its just working out the Displacement appropriately depending on if its Large/Small Grid depends on the exact Displacement required.

we've been using merge blocks with Rotors for years.

I am not exactly sure what your trying to achieve with this mod specifically? (not bashing, merely questioning)

Abosolutely, in this case it is not only about the utility, it is also not even a great effort in programming to have this essential component. I hope someone from Keen understands it.

@ Rusted Droid

KEEN is going to add a sub grid patch so once more ...
your mod should be part of the vanilla game!

KeeN only add demanded popular stuff.
This mod is for people that like to use subgrids but need them to be secured properly.
Enjoy this mod/hack while it works.

Keen should add it to the vanilla game!

@skyhunter52632 Yes older 3x3x1 merge block was used as example.
SE have 1x1 small merge block and yes will work.
As this rotor is 1x1x2 block then it can be used with any merge block (MOD) in workshop.
