Fair Lords Expanded

Description
"But swich a knyghtly sighte trewely.
As was on hym was nought withouten faille.
To loke on Mars that god is of bataille." ~Chaucer's "Troilus and Criseyde"

UPDATED FOR 1.16

This mod once used a conversion of "Fair Skin Complexion" by HHaleyy as a starting point. Special thanks to the Ethnicities and Portraits Expanded team. The work they have done with EPE is truly special.

Fair Lords Expanded replaces the male textures included with Ethnicities and Portraits Expanded (as of their 1.14 version).

I have done my best to preserve many of their facial markings while keeping to the aesthetic of the remastered Fair Lords. This means I built 63 files for this version of the mod.

What you get:
  • Skin textures for face and body
  • Detailed fingernails
  • Fair Lord normal maps, with modified lips, nose details, forehead and cheek pores, and more
  • Modified stubble maps

What you don't get:
  • Any code! These are .dds files only-- images that the game applies to models.

As this is an unofficial module, please do not bother their team with support questions. Nothing included in this mod should 'break' EPE; likewise, it is unlikely that FLE will break from their updates. This mod is designed to pair with EPE or other conversion overhauls that make use of their asset style.

FAQ:

My character is bald? My game is crashing when FLE is installed?

This is a glitch that has occurred intermittently since the game's release. My mod does not touch hair. Sometimes this problem is caused by playing an old world save on a new game update. Before reporting a bug, please check that it is still happening on a freshly generated world!

Where does this go in my load order?

Please put this below Ethnicities and Portraits Expanded or the game conversion module you are using that runs on EPE. You should be able to place this above or below other com-patches without any issue.

Is this compatible with X mod?

I'm afraid I do not have a master list. I try to check each mod manually when people ask. You can do the same by opening up the mod file structures and comparing them. Do they have face textures? Will FLE cover theirs? Or you might install them both and see if you like what you get!

Should I use this with Fair Ladies/Lords?

No. That is not necessary.

Can I install or uninstall this mid-playthrough?

Go ahead!

Can I use this with A Game Of Thrones?

As of the 1.16 version, FLE is fully compatible with AGOT!

Here's a link back to the original Fair Lords.

Consider trying Fair Ladies Expanded!

:steamhappy:Wow, the faces are so BEAUTIFUL with this mod, now every time I see the vanilla version of the faces, it makes me feel so uncomfortable just looking at them, I can't play without this mod.:steamhappy:

@lindest I thank you. It was not my intention to cause you stress or duress in any way. I was perplexed and just needed clarification. I thank you once again for your patience.

To be clear as I can, FLE contains the same textures as standard FL, so running both in a modlist is redundant. That is to say-- choose one set.

If you were using a vanilla or vanilla-like gene setup, FL would be all you need. FLE needs the coding from EPE or a mod running EPE-like code to show these extra textures, so choose FLE when you use mods like that.

AGOT runs on an EPE-like code, and FLE covers most of their textures. AGOT also has a few unique complexions not yet covered by FLE.

"I would consider the FLE series 98% compatible with AGOT. Currently, AGOT and EPE are structured in the same fashion and use the same naming conventions. AGOT has a few extra unique textures. I could patch that in a future update, if there is interest."

Do you mean to say that this mod is redundant?

Should your subscribers use this mod over the original fair ladies/fair lords, or only use this one when also using EPE? I ask as I had intended to use fair ladies/fair lords expanded by themselves.
