Elephant Island 2035

Description
Welcome to Elephant Island! A sunny place somewhere in the Pacific Ocean, or the Carribean, or wherever you want it to be.

Only sparsely populated, it features two military camps and an airfield as well as several radio installations which makes it an interesting strategic object for several countries nearby.


BACKGROUND
This terrain was used in VBS1 where it was called 'Core island'. Then in the ArmA 2 days Peter 'Pete' Morrison had the same idea of porting the terrain to the ArmA/VBS series but a collaboration with him never became reality and with his kind permission, the terrain was then released as 'Elephant Island' for ArmA 2 with a lot of assistance from Bushlurker and others.

But why 'Elephant Island?' you may ask. David Lagettie gave it this name. We presume because of the many Elephant grass being used on it.

Not for long. Bushlurker helped with the Arma2 version, made the satellite mask and road textures. He was not directly involved in this version. However, without him the whole terrain wouldn't exist.

The conversion to Arma 3 was relatively quick, thanks to Jake. Approx. 4 weeks, if at all.

The low grass is intentional. Yes, it looks strange, admittedly, but I hate tall grass that I can't see over when lying down while the AI is giving me a headshot.
Nothing is set in stone of course, at the time being it is what it is. :-)
