Why...? well... because I'm insane...

This is obviously not patched or balanced, it's literally a joke.

Q: Save game compatible?
A: Yes.

Q: I actually want this to be a mod.
A: Sign up for my team and I may even pay you... lol nobody's gonna do that

Graphics, xml and C# by me, Argón, the one and only uwu

Rimworld is of course owned by Tynan Sylvester (didn't ya know, pal?)

If you feel generous, clicking on any of these buttons will likely raise my dopamine levels 1% higher, so do it for all those follks who wish to have a standalone version.

We just now need the devs to add sufficient mechanics to make it worth implementing non-ironically.

Every new metal added brings Rimworld closer and closer to Dwarf Fortress levels of material sciences/geology

Next add gregtech to rimworld

Gee! Thanks for the amazing explanations! You actually gave me a few ideas for Expanded Materials - Metals. :slimetabby:

About ore generation on the map. A way to not have every rock on map be populated with metals, is an addition of realistic ores, which means processing them yields multiple metals. For example, galena ore is a common source of lead and silver. You can also make up your own ores for balancing purposes. Either way, it will technically help compress all of the materials into one map and make it less difficult on player (as in, not needing to hunt for specific 1 metal out of 30 to spawn).

As a fellow geology enjoyer, I can suggest you what you could do with some of these. Vitallium is an alloy used for real life prosthetics and its compromised of cobalt, chomium and molybdenum. Molybdenum is in very small amounts so it may be skipped for sake of simplicity. Zinc, magnesium and calcium are mentioned as food supplements, so they could produce some drugs at drug lab to improve immunity gain and damage resistance.
Few like palladium, bismuth and beryllium are not only extremely rare, but applied at things like automobiles and aeronautics, which aren't all that useful in Rimworld. Best I could recommend is drop pods requiring itty bitty of palladium (fuel rods), bismuth for smoke pops (fire detector) and beryllium for end-game ship building or advanced components.

Will add all elements from the periodic table
Lyn the Cookie 7 Nov, 2023 @ 3:11pm
Now add gases, polymers and alloys as well

It works, all the materials are the same, it's just the tag that's not updated, I will try to remember doing it when I have a gap xd
