This is the Engineer's of Stormworks KCS collection. All locomotives within this collection are built within E.O.S. Standards and are compatible with one another, utilizing ESS for multiple unit control. This collection is the work of many of our greatest Engineers all coming together to assemble a fleet of KCS locomotives. All rolling stock featured is also compatible with the ESS Rolling Stock Brakes, allowing smooth operation with the featured rolling stock.

Kansas City Southern was the smallest Class 1 railroad up until early 2021 where it entered a merger with Canadian Pacific. If this merger fully goes through, CP and KCS will form the first railroad to link the United States, Canada, and Mexico. they will form CPKC, the largest Class 1 railroad. Kansas City Southern was founded in 1887, and had grown to serve Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and Texas. They also were the only Class 1 to expand operations into Mexcio under Kansas City Southern de Mexico [KCSM]. They are known for their vibrant livery and great customer service. They are also known for their Flying Crow Line and their more famous Southern Belle line that ran from the 40's through the 60's connecting Kansas City, MO and New Orleans, LA. When the passenger service was ended, most of their E and F units went into freight service until they were turned into slugs or scrapped. in the mid 90's, 3 FP9 units and an F9 Booster were bought from Canadian National and painted in a dark livery in order to convert some of the old rolling stock into an entertainment experience for customers. These 3 F units, named Meridian, Shreveport, and Vicksburg, along with their booster, Pittsburg, were put into service for the "New Southern Belle" line. These locomotives were later painted into the classic Southern Belle livery. KCS-4, AKA Vicksburg, was later renumbered 34 and left without a name. Despite the railway's relative youth and small size, it still was a favorite among the rail-fan community for it's rich history and gorgeous locomotives.
