Description
Discontinued :
WeaponCore has made it clear, it is hostile to modders who try to maintain their works.
Every month, these Files have been damaged, and no assistance or support given to make the work repairing them was ever given.
Entire backend sections changed, and invalidated prior knowledge and Codework, resulting in this mod and every other mod I made needing to be repaired.
Constantly with no Warning, causing any Mod to be effectively unstable.
I can not spend the time, on over 45 mods to repair them every month.

Vanilla Overhaul : Serpent Arms Edition
This Vanilla Replacer converts the vanilla weaponry to WeaponCore, in addition it changes several key elements to change combat.
The details will be below, but a basic summary - after the latest update brief.

Update May 5th : Armour Fix and Arty Adjustment

Rocket Launcher default names were changed to Missile Launcher.
Weapons & Armour gained WeaponCore Damage Resistance values.
Range Bracket Changes.
Specialization & Role Assignment changes. (Gatling Turret is an defensive weapon)
Missiles gained Homing abilities.
Localization Entry changes adjust block descriptions to provide the information in-game for weapons. (Just english so far, as but they're localized properly)


All Armour blocks are given inherent resistances to damage types. (This includes armour panels, I added them manually)
This is intended to improve armour durability across the board, ensuring both this conversion and all weapon-mods added (that are WC) respect the durability increase : This also means, weapon performance is predictable and uniform.

Light Armour is given a 5% damage resistance to energy-type damage, 15% resistance to kinetic-type damage.
Heavy Armour is given 45% resistance to energy-type damage, 55% resistance to kinetic-type damage.
Panels gain the resistances of their type.
This means, weapon mods supplying energy weapons have some inherent value in base armour options.

Vanilla Turrets & Fixed-mount weapons were also given armour-type resistances, and come in several types.

Unarmoured : 10% Energy-Type Damage Malus , 5% Kinetic-Type Damage Resist

  • Gatling Gun : 1km

Blueprint Changes
  • Assault Cannon Shells - Replaced Uranium Cost (0.1) with Silver Cost (0.1)
  • Assault Cannon Shells - Increased magazine per Production order from 1 to 3
  • Missile 200mm - Replaced Uranium Cost (0.1) with Gold Cost (0.4)
  • Missile 200mm - Replaced Platinum Cost (0.04) with Silver Cost (0.2)
  • Missile 200mm - Increased Magnesium Cost (1.2) to 2.5 units
  • Sabot (Railgun Large) - Increased production time from 14 seconds to 48 seconds
  • Sabot (Railgun Small) - Increased production time from 8 seconds to 15 seconds


Notable Weapon Function Changes
  • Missile 200mm (All Sources) has gained High-Agility Tracking.
  • Artillery Shells can be shot down, and have 2 AMS HP per shell.
  • Gatling Turret is now best suited for interception and anti-air duty.
  • Large Grid Railgun is caliberated to deal bonus (20x) shield damage on hitting targets, with a 25% damage bonus against large grid.
  • Small Grid Railgun is caliberated to deal heavier damage to Large grid targets, and reduced damage to small grid targets.


To do List
  • Finish reconstruction of Autocannon Turret (The original model is cursed)
  • Refine armour to weapon damage balance
  • Introduce additional vanilla-style armaments for Small-grid
  • Investigate direct Structure-block for cheaper internal builds

  • Do I accept Commission work? Yes. Be warned, it isn't always open as I get swamped quite often.

In Gatling Turret I cannot see ammotype its needed

Power Drains vary by the weapon, but I am constantly tweaking the base power draws.
Been effectively reducing them over time

New Build released', to restore Gatling Guns and fix their subpart & muzzle IDs.
Railgun Drain reduced for reloading Ammunition (Energy Cost per Shot)

Update is now live, and is longer than the max character limit for this box, as usual this information is instead in the change-log.
Main Description has also been updated to include the Resistance table additions, and Range Table Changes.

Basic Summary: Autocannon (Fixed) is now live, Artillery (Fixed) has full range & is live. Assault-Gun & Turret for Small-Grid is Live.

Autocannon (but not the turret , as that is being rebuilt) is expected to be online today, along with most other additions & updates.
Including a change to Assault Cannon power drains, to better enable their usage on smaller crafts.

All that is missing now, in theory is the Auto-Cannon & Fixed-Versions of the Assault & Artillery.

Okay, I've looked into it & fixed it. Much appreciated, turns out it was an oversight in the magazine load count causing it.

I've also added the Small-Grid Missile Turret and Interior Turret to the enabled list.

Clear the mod cache at it still only fire from one barrel which is the left one
