Confederation Before Death

Description
Introduction
It's day one, so I'm a bit busy right now. Confederations: Why won't the AI accept them? Because, little Billy, the AI doesn't like you. With the Reprogramat 3000, you can make the AI like you more. That way, they'll accept your request to be best friends instead of blasting you with their death rays!

Features
  • AI factions that are on death's door will always* accept the first confederation demand they receive.
  • AI factions that have very high relations with the player will always* accept confederation demands.

Disclaimer: There may or may not still be edge cases where the AI will refuse confederation.

Compatibility
Should be compatible with all mods that do not change AI decision weighting for confederations.
Fully save game compatible.

Known Issues
None.

Empire confederation has been tied to the allegiance system for quite a long time. This will not affect that, only the diplomatic considerations of the AI. There are no "events".
I don't believe this is working- both Gelt and Elspeth campaigns did not trigger the event when Karl etc factions were deleted (and it def did in the past).

Negative.

The mechanism behind the bonus is defined by an unexposed section of the CAI's decision tree which evaluates faction strength against enemies. By observation, the modifier is already more likely to come into play the less territory a faction has. However, lack of territory correlates with lack of military strength, so it may not be causative.

Also bear in mind that the CAI's Skaven diplomatic "personalities" tend to be rather agreeable with high relations.

i just barely met clan rictus and they had 8 territories but no army and i could still confederate them with a +50 rating, idk if that qualifies as "near death" lol, is there a way to include how many settlements they have into this mod? i kinda dont want an entire empire with no armies to be confederated to my enemies

This mod does not change confederation mechanics, only the AI profies. The Empire, in vanilla, does not confederate normally, but through the acquisition of pooled resources.

Empire doesnt use normal confederation mechanics. No amount of updates will change that.
