The Great Settlement Battle Overhaul

Description
Introduction
Near the end of WH2's DLC-cycle, I decided to completely rewrite how garrisons were handled while in pursuit of another goal. This caused me everlasting madness due to how much time and effort was needed to apply sane standards to those tables. Now, since CA has applied even more compact garrison logic (despite a couple of issues caused by this) to WH3, the new factions are much easier to work with.

The purpose of this mod, like its predecessor, is to improve garrison quality across the board and provide garrison characters which aren't quite so useless. As an added bonus, I decided to change how settlement supplies work, so that settlement battles more closely follow how they worked in Attila/Rome 2, rather than some silly mobile game. As with the WH2 version, I've included an expansion of Mazz's T4 Minor Settlements that allows for more building and fortification options in minor settlements.

Features
  • Complete rewrite of how the game handles garrisons.
  • Settlement supply rework: No supplies are gained during any settlement battle. Instead, settlements have larger supply caches which are based on their level and importance. This also drastically reduces the chances that the AI will be seen "building" defenses after a battle starts.
  • 60+ "new" garrison mages, each of which commands all spells within their respective lores
  • More emphasis on improved garrison quality at higher settlement tiers. High tier and "special" settlements such as Altdorf are now significantly more difficult to capture.
  • Gates and forts are reworked. All have very high quality garrisons and encourage the stationing of an army, just as the Bastion does. Likewise, non-Cathay factions can benefit from controlling Bastion gates.
  • Tier 4 minor settlements for all factions (except Ogres, they aren't worthy).
  • Minor settlement battles and walls re-enabled.

Compatibility
Fully save game compatible. Please note that removing or adding from an ongoing campaign will result in certain garrison units needing to replenish.
Compatible with anything that does not alter garrisons.
NOT compatible with any Tier 4 Minor Settlement mod.
Important for modders: Relies on datacoring building_level_armed_citizenry_junctions.

Known "Issues"
None at present.

FAQ

Q: Will you get rid of ass-ladders?
A: No. It's impossible to do without removing defenders' ability to stand on walls. If you want ass-ladders gone, go bug CA. Fair warning: CA doesn't care.

Q: Will you make a SFO/Radious/etc. version?
A: No. Do it yourself. The tools needed to do it yourself are easy as sin to both find and use. I made the mistake of branching builds during the WH2 era. Never again.

Q: Will you get rid of Tier 4 Minor Settlements?
A: Refer to FAQ item #2.

Q: I found a bug!
A: That's not a question, Billy. Put as accurate a description of the issue and situation in which it occurred below and it'll get looked at Soon™ if it's a plausible issue within the scope of this mod.

Q: Can I use X in another mod?
A: Knock yourself out. The idea of intellectual monopoly is so 1715 AD. Just be sure to give credit where credit is due, and let me know (if you'd be so kind).

Shameless Plug

This is far from the only mod I've put out. My library of Warhammer 3 mods can be found at: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/profiles/76561198039493969/myworkshopfiles/?appid=1142710

That's not really feasible, as that requires editing the campaign map.

Hope there will be a mod in the future that makes all settlements main cities (like Kislev or wood elf)

No. I probably missed some cleanup.

Hey, I was curious if Greenskins having walls even on tier one minor settlement buildings was intentional or a bug? It was just kinda funny running into walled greenskin hiding behind dwarfen walls in their tier one settlements... when playing as the dwarfs who don't get walls at tier one.

This mod is far superior to any of the other garrison on Tier 4 settlement mods, thank you for making it. Any chance you would add support for the TEB factions? Right now they have no garrisons... Thanks!
