Frostpaw

Description
Frostpaw is a polarizing character focusing on close combat, he is not particulary a bruiser or a fast character but he can easily combo his foes and move around.
His Ground Speed is above average while his Air Speed is quite low. His most notorious trait is his low friction, making him quite slippery on the ground but also granting him extra mobility. To compensate his low Air Speed, his jump and double jump are high. His weight is below average.

Gameplay:
Frostpaw's main gimmick is the Freeze Power. The more hits he strikes, the more the Freezing Bar fills up and he will have a better chance to freeze an opponent.
Note that his non ice-based moves aren't as effective to fill up the bar. The attacks able to freeze your opponents are the following ones:
- Jab2
- FTilt
- BAir
- DStrong
- NSpecial

The odds of freezing an opponent work this way and are shown above your HUD:
- Level 1: 0~9% Damage Dealt = 0%
- Level 2: 10~24% Damage Dealt = 10%
- Level 3: 25~49% Damage Dealt = 20%
- Level 4: 50~74% Damage Dealt = 40%
- Level 5: +75% Damage Dealt = 80%
- Level 6: 100% Damage Dealt = NSpecial will always Freeze

Once you get your opponent frozen, several options are at your disposal: you can inflict damage and/or absorb the ice with FSPECIAL or DSPECIAL to gain the Freeze Power.
Once you have the Freeze Power, Frostpaw's attacks that were able to freeze an opponent become strong KO moves. The attacks affected by the Freeze Power are the following ones:
- Jab3
- FTilt
- BAir
- DStrong
- NSpecial

Normals:
Jab: A 3 hit-combo composed of a punch, a palm strike and a kick, the 2nd hit can freeze the opponent while the 3rd is affected by the Freeze Power.
FTilt: A palm thrust, push the opponent away at a low angle, this one can freeze and can be deadly at the edge.
UTilt: A strong but slow uppercut, this move might be your best KO option if you haven't the Freeze Power.
DTilt: A sweeping kick, fast and efficient as a combo starter, can send your opponent behind you for follow-ups.
DAttack: A baseball slide, can pass through parries and gives some momentum, the clean and late hitboxes can both lead to follow-ups.
NAir: A punt kick sending upward, can easily combo into itself if you're close to the ground.
FAir: A very fast punch that can be used to continuously hit your opponent but has mediocre damage and knockback.
BAir: A returned palm strike that generates icy spikes, good for spacing and very effective with the Freeze Power.
UAir: A bicycle kick, fast and very good at juggling, can send at various angles.
DAir: A stomp kick, can be used both as a combo and KO tool, this move launches downward at a specific angle.
FStrong: An haymaker punch, has a short range but has a good momentum and is effective to send off-stage.
UStrong: An other bicycle kick, can be used as an anti-air and rushdown tool, intangible at the start of the jump.
DStrong: Frostpaw slams the ground to generate 2 spots of icy spikes, useful for tech chases and to close stocks.

Specials:
NSpecial: Snowflake - Frostpaw generates a snowflake in front of him that travels a short distance, this move will guarantee the foes to be frozen after 100% of Damage Dealt. Holding the Special Button will create 2 fast snowflakes. If Frostpaw has the Freeze Power, he will sacrifice his ability to launch a powerful projectile.

FSpecial: Icebreaker - Frostpaw launches himself forward and travels a good distance, while the air variant of this move does less damage, it goes a little downward before to gain a little height boost. On a frozen opponent, this move can do a critical amount of damage and even KO them if they're above 200%. Frostpaw will also gain the Freeze Power.

USpecial: Convection - Frostpaw charges an upward wind that sends him very high, the direction can be affected during the ascension. USpecial moves universally unfreeze opponents, this may be useful in some situations. Be careful if you are below him during his charge!

DSpecial: Icy Bestowal - Frostpaw absorbs the ice around him. While this attack may seem underwhelming, it is very useful to quickly get the Freeze Power on a frozen opponent, you can also use it to float once in midair. It truly shines if you already have the Freeze Power, the float gains more mobility, has super armor frames on the first use in the air and can be cancelled with any aerial attack. Useful to approach and to overwhelm your opponent.

Misc:
Parry can also grant you the Freeze Power, depending of the Damage Dealt.
Frostpaw has a special wall cling, he will progressively slide downward after a while.
Taunt has a sound for more than 5 different situations, can you find them all?

Compatibility:
Frostpaw can detect various attacks coming from other characters. You can write the following variables in your character's init script if you want Frostpaw to detect your most flashy or dangerous attack:
- frostpaw_vocal_attack: AT_XXX
- frostpaw_vocal_sound: "warning" (Can also be: "missile", "rockets", "cannon", "mines", "bomb", "plasma", "quake")

Frostpaw has compatibility with the following items :
- Abyss Runes
- Novice/Agent N's Codec
- Hikaru's Title
- TCO's Art

Abyss Runes:
Cold Zone [J]: NSpecial creates a cold zone on hit. If Frostpaw is inside of it, icy impacts will be generated around him, improving his control and damage potential.
Ice Shield [M]: If you reach 100%, an ice shield will automatically be activated for 15 seconds, highly reducing the received knockback. It can be triggered only once per stock.
Zone Mode [N]: Eager for speed? Try this rune but be careful with the overdose! Your speed increases with time but so is your %, you can accelerate this process with the hits you give. The more you travel a zone, the more it becomes harder to reach another one. Every 5 zones, you reach a new rank, when this happens, the speed boost feels much more significant. There are a total of 9 ranks, how far can you go before to be KO'ed?

And much more!

I would probably classify that as a visitor to rivals, as he is more of a unique character of your design. I'll make a playlist for visitors of aether later on because the character seems cool

@Monagression This is quite a tricky one, Frostpaw doesn't have a particular universe but I've tried to give him one with a sense of belonging in Rivals thanks to his moveset and his stage.
He could appear anywhere else outside of the game making him not unique to this one, so I would say that he is mostly not canon to Rivals.

Quick question: would you say this character could be classified as a character born in the rival of aether world, or are they from their own canon? I'm making a list of rival canon workshop characters
