Description


This mod serves to rework and rebalance all of the existing idea groups as well as add one new idea group for each monarch point type!




Each monarch point type has 2 mutually exclusive groups. Humanist/Religious, Diplomatic/Influence, and Offensive/Defensive are all mutually exclusive with additional buffs to make it 'worth your while,' so to speak. Many policies have been tweaked as well to better reflect the idea group changes.

Changes In Admin Groups

Innovative
  • Prestige decay replaced with great project upgrade cost
  • Innovativeness gain and tech cost reduction moved to later in the group
  • Institution spread added to embracement cost idea
  • Added triggered modifier giving dev cost and prosperity growth upon completing group and reaching 100 innovativeness.
Religious
  • Now mutually exclusive with Humanist
  • Clergy loyalty moved from finisher to first idea
  • Prestige gain replaced with war score cost vs. other religions and manpower in true faith provinces
Economic
  • Monthly autonomy change moved to first idea
  • Land maintenance replaced with global prosperity growth
  • Tax efficiency idea buffed
  • Inflation reduction buffed
  • Construction cost buffed AND build time added to idea
  • Dev cost finished halved to 10%
Expansion
  • Fort maintenance on border with rival replaced with 10% cost for trade company investments
  • Merchant moved to 4th idea
Administrative
  • Replaced merc cost with state maintenance
  • Cut CCR to 20%
  • Buffed interest per annum. Replaced merc manpower with admin possible policies and admin advisor cost
  • Added reform progress growth to +1 advisor idea
  • Replaced admin tech cost reduction with max absolutism.
Humanist
  • Now mutually exclusive with Religious
  • Harmonization speed doubled
  • Religious unity replaced with devastation reduction and stability cost reduction
  • Replaced improved relations with monthly splendor and yearly legitimacy
  • Added promote culture cost to max promoted cultures idea
  • Added max tolerance to tolerance of heathens and buffed idea




Changes In Diplo Groups

Espionage
  • Cost to fabricate claims buffed
  • AE impact removed (moved to Diplomatic)
  • Covert action relation impact added to replace AE impact
  • Siege ability buffed
  • Advisor cost buffed
  • Embargo efficiency buffed
  • Privateer efficiency buffed
  • Corruption reduction buffed
  • Finished changed from rebel support efficiency to harsh treatment cost
Diplomatic
  • Now mutually exclusive with Influence
  • Second +1 diplomat idea now gives favor growth modifier
  • Diplo tech cost discount replaced with AE impact
  • Province war score cost nerfed
Trade
  • Moved global trade power back
  • Moved trade efficiency and merchant up
  • Trade range now also gives trade company investment cost
Exploration
  • Buffed global settler increase
  • Removed expel minorities cost (lol) and added extra colonist
  • Buffed naval force limit modifier
  • Finisher now also gives native assimilation
Maritime
  • Moved trade range idea back
  • Buffed global ship repair and moved up
  • Buffed marine force limit
  • Buffed ship cost
  • Finisher now gives blockade impact on siege
Influence
  • Now mutually exclusive with Diplomatic
  • Buffed diplomatic relations
  • Buffed diplomatic annexation cost
  • Replaced income from vassals with +1 diplomat
  • Buffed envoy travel time
  • Buffed subject loyalty and moved idea back

Aristocratic
  • Cav cost and power buffed
  • Replaced mil tech discount with cav flanking ability
  • Autonomy change buffed
  • Army/Navy tradition decay replaced with leader cost and shock damage
  • Merc manpower replaced with flat cavalry shock
Plutocratic
  • Replaced merc manpower/discipline with fire damage/fire damage received
  • Added fort maintenance to caravan power idea
  • Land moral buffed and moved back
  • Manpower recovery buffed
Horde
  • Land attrition buffed
  • Caravan power replaced with raze power gain
Divine
  • Fire damage received buffed
  • Leader cost buffed
  • Land moral buffed
  • Culture conversion cost and cost of enforcing religion buffed
  • National manpower buffed
Indigenous
  • Dev cost buffed

Offensive
  • Now mutually exclusive with Defensive

  • Force limit replaced with movement speed

Hey, for some reason in my MP game with a friend, all dlcs, I took infrastructure Ideas but I can't get the second idea from the group. I noticed after the fourth time I bought it that it didn't work. Can you check this? We only have 3 new idea groups as a mod that could change up the ideas.

@chewy i found why, in economic ideas you have the same name used, that is why infrastructure does not work
