Old Dockyard Crane

By request here is the Circa 1910 style dockyard crane I put together originally to go with my merchant U Boat from WW1.

The original cranes I based it off usually stuck to train style rails laid along the pier edge, however some enterprising engineer has given this one tracks and a small petrol engine for added versatility.

I get the best results when lowering cargo into a ship to keep the handbrake on, taking it off to make a small adjustment, and then quickly turning it back on when in the right position.

Adjust left/right with tracks, in/out with the crane arm.

I've left a rope anchor on the end of the winch, designed to attach to a rope anchor on the top of your cargo with as small as possible length of rope for easy handling.

You can run off batteries for quite a while when in position to conserve fuel, just turn the fuel valve off to shutdown the engine.
