Description
Hello Again!

This is basically a mini mod that I made.

Most people know that CK3 suffers huge amounts of lag in the late game, one of the key reasons is that there are simply to many characters for the game to handle, each with the AI determining individual aspects for, as well as having events fired upon them. Now what CK2, and I believe CK3 do to mitigate this, is 'Pruning', which kills off women above the age of 35, because the game determined them to be unimportant for the game, as they would seldom become rulers, and by that point they would be infertile.

I however took this a step further, now any character who I deem 'Irrelevant', will be automatically "killed off", effectively simulating the fact that noble families sort of stopped caring about distant family members, having them basically 'fall out of relevancy'. This makes it so that any character who is not a councillor, knight, claimant, or ruler, as well as their primary spouses, will be pruned off starting at the age of 20, which will increase exponentially depending on various factors of their extended family members.

Naturally this would make some players upset that their grand revenge plot to kill all the Karlings, after they have long since fallen out of relevancy, impossible, as they would just die on their own. However fear not, for there are two new interactions you can do on the AI, which will make them and their children remain relevant, by protecting them from the pruning check.

I hope that this will help mitigate most of the issues late game, but I can not promise everything to work 100%, and if there are any issues, please feel free to join my Discord, and complain about them.

Also, I am currently working on a large update to Old World's Demise, which is nearing completion, I don't want to spoil to much of it, but you should know that the mod is roughly 9000 provinces bigger than ever before, and with a tonne of new features to play around with

Thank you all who decided to subscribe to this, and anyone who provides suggestions. It really makes me happy that people like these stupid mods I make! Thank you!

Nevermind noticed this mod has not updated for over a year.

AGOT compatible? Or would it inevitably prune dragons too.

Im pretty sure the way it functions is there's a checklist for various types of characters, and if its checks all of them, like if a character is unlanded, female and over 35-40, it will kill them off as they cant have kids, have no land, and are now basically useless to the game.

Simply put, theres a massive list of And's&Or's, if a character checks off on all available, they get removed automatically

when does it do the pruning, player triggered or automatically?

@child_of_air:
The Mod does not work that way, you think it does.
Subscribe to the Mod and open with a simple Editor the File:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\1158310\2814081550\common\on_action\tgi_prune_yearly_on_actions.txt
You will find out that the Number "35" is not even in the file - or any other age ...

@child_of_air please stop, you are embarrassing yourself.

@Skela This mod builds on a dumb idea, period. There are many ways in which he could have gone about doing it, but this mod is needlessly careless, killing off characters that may actually serve a purpose because apparently 35 is a good number? I guess it goes to show why I have never downloaded a single mod he's authored.

Since I mod myself a little bit I use the Wiki too, did not found the trigger I know must exist and after some digging in the Game files I found it in
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Crusader Kings III\game\common\trigger_localization
Might be a usefull resource in the future for finding triggers with Full text search :)
