Simply put, theres a massive list of And's&Or's, if a character checks off on all available, they get removed automatically
The Mod does not work that way, you think it does.
Subscribe to the Mod and open with a simple Editor the File:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\1158310\2814081550\common\on_action\tgi_prune_yearly_on_actions.txt
You will find out that the Number "35" is not even in the file - or any other age ...
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Crusader Kings III\game\common\trigger_localization
Might be a usefull resource in the future for finding triggers with Full text search :)
Secondly the mod has been updated with your suggestions, the main reason for a few of the triggers not being there, is because I use the wiki when looking for triggers, so I do not know ever single updated trigger for CK3.
Thirdly, yes you are 100% correct there, I am taking a sledge hammer and slaying everyone regardless of gender or fertility, CK2 had a massive issue with women being basically incapable of doing most things, or rather than calling it an issue it is relatively historically accurate. Where religion severely limited what women could do, hence they were deemed in the code to be less impactful than their male counter parts, but with how CK3 allows for cultures and religions to be reformed allowing a far greater freedom to play as women, the pruning needs to be more generalised for both genders as now both genders can impact the game.
+Juan, you are exactly right there, this mod is taking a sledge hammer to the issue of late game lag in the most extreme way possible, and I won't pretend otherwise. But it works, late game lag is caused 90% by the over saturation of characters in the game, each getting their own events traits and doing actions, but ultimately having little to no impact in the game, and since characters create new characters through having children, the problem grows exponentially. Luckily dead characters do not have the same issue as their living counterparts, hence this mod.
+Lemon Soul, No problem, I mostly made this mod due to my upcoming mod remake "Old World's Demise", which due to it's expanded time frame scope suffers this issue immensely by being over saturated with irrelevant characters.
He only described the Way the GAME (CK2), not him, handles pruning, so there is no need to go berserk on him.
The Way HE does it has nothing to do with the gender or fertillity - simply take a look into the Mod-Files.
And the Intention behind it, its a good one (reducing Lag). The mod needs some improvements, but thats OK.
Pls remeber that this is a Computer Game, yes, it is immersive, but at the end, there are no real People involved when doing things to the Game.
I do a lot of things in the Game that I would not do in real live - like starting a War.
They are both equally killed off in the pruning process, I'm sure. The mod is meant to remove characters deemed irrelevant in the perspective of the player to prevent late game lag and many other issues.
It seems to be a more extreme way of reducing the chances of the game being filled with many characters later on down the line.
"This makes it so that any character who is not a councillor, knight, claimant, or ruler, as well as their primary spouses, will be pruned off starting at the age of 20-"

1. That makes sense, I will probably do that, and check out some of that stuff.
2. No I am NOT sure that CK3 handles pruning that way, I just know that CK2 does. There were many mods which removed the pruning because it annoyed a lot of people. So yea for all I know CK3 doesn't have any pruning.
3. That does make sense, and again when I get back around to this.

What are you even on about?
In case people just for some reason don't actually get what this mod is meant to do, it's meant to remove irrelevant characters, both who are and are not related to you. Especially if they are in your dynasty. This prevents late game lag where your dynasty will end up having thousands of dynasty members, who have literally no affect on the game play.
There are some other interesting things like being a Warden, inspired etc. that might be enough to not prune a char.
I would suggest you add the line
has_any_court_position = no
to "tgi_prune_extreme_one_yearly_pulse"
Are you sure that CK3 handles pruning the Way you think?
I digged to the Game-Files and the only thing I found is the "pool_character_is_pruneable_trigger" and that a) works completly different then female and >35 and b) (as far as I see it) applys only to Courtier_guest_management, so I suppose every other Char (like is a Courtier) will be not effected at all.
So, I would even think that there is no global pruning in CK3 (except for Court Guests). But I might be wrong.
