Description
Play as the radical Father of the Poor, Hipolito Yrigoyen; in Sid Meier's Civilization VI.

Argentina is one of the most economically successful republics to emerge after the Spanish Empire's grip on the Americas dissolved. La Plata held some of the most prosperous farmland on the continent, contained within the region of the pampas. After independence, the Argentines pursued settlement deeper into the south end of South America, enlarging the Mestizo and rancher culture. Argentina is also notably one of the great immigration hubs of the Americas, to the point that over 40% of the population retains an Italian surname. Argentina is a hotbed for prosperity in the Americas and cyclical republican revolution.

STRUDELER'S CIVILIZATIONS: ARGENTINA

FEATURES
  • Requires: RISE AND FALL, GATHERING STORM, and BABYLON PACK.

    LEADER: HIPOLITO YRIGOYEN
  • Trait - Dawn of Suffrage: Campuses and Industrial Zones grant +1 Amenity. Cities that have both a Campus and Industrial Zone gain +1 Food on all flat land tiles. Cities gain +2 Amenities and +3 Housing with Suffrage.
  • Agenda - Father of the Poor: Likes civilizations with a happy population. Dislikes civilizations with an unhappy population.

    CIVILIZATION: ARGENTINA
  • Trait - Giants of Patagonia: Earn a Paleontologo when the game enters a new era. Libraries, Universities, and Research Labs gain 1 Great Work slots that can hold anything.
  • Spawn Bias - Grassland/Plains (Tier 3), Rivers (Tier 4).

    CIVILIZATION GREAT PERSON: PALEONTOLOGO
  • Each can create up to 3 Fossils to be exhibited. Fossils grant +3 Science and Tourism.

    CIVILIZATION UNIT: GAUCHO
  • Argentine unique Support class unit. Has a Lifespan of 25 turns. Costs 1 Horses maintenance per turn. Can attack even if in Formation with another unit. Adjacent enemy units suffer -4 Combat Strength. Has 3 Build Charges to build Estancias, Farms, or Pastures.

    CIVILIZATION IMPROVEMENT: ESTANCIA
  • Unlocks the Builder and Gaucho ability to construct an Estancia, unique to Argentina. +1 Food. Minor Food adjacency from Farms, becomes standard Food adjacency with Replaceable Parts. Standard Production adjacency from Pastures and Plantations. Heavy Cavalry, Light Cavalry, and Ranged Cavalry class units as well as Gauchos gain +1 Movement when starting the turn within 2 tiles of an Estancia. Must be built on a flat tile.

    CITY-STATE: ICHMA
  • Replaces Buenos Aires.
  • Industrial; Suzerain gains +1 Amenity for every bonus resource in a city.

    *The new Fossil Great Works do not properly show there graphics at the moment.

  • Works with Tomatekh's Historical Religions.

    First, thanks for sharing this, I'm playing with this mod in my current play-through.
    One question, as far as I can tell, the estancia receives adjacency bonus from farms but doesn't give it, so while it makes sense if there are several pastures and plantations to build it, it's ineffective to build them for farms since to improve the estancia you are forgoing giving adjacency bonus to the farms, making just building a farm more effective.
    In short, is there a simple way to make it so that the estancia gives adjacency bonus to the farms too?

    Argentina received two heroes to commemorate its update: Gauchito Gil, an Argentine hero; and Turok to match the paleontologists of the update.

    Hey Strudeler, i get several errors on your Croatia, Argentina mods... on database.log, like:
