Europa Depths
Now with %100 More Pressure Resistent Clowns
Europa Depths Items adjusts the balance of items in the game. It is created with the following principals.
  • Every item should be useful.
  • Fabrication and deconstruction should allow experimentation.
  • Balance the buying as selling economy to make more sense.
  • Items should have a similar power balance to vanilla.
  • Items should add requirements to bring new challenges.
  • Items should make boring tasks faster.
  • Don't make stupid balance choices just to avoid fractional items

Europa Depths More Plants is now included in this mod to allow better integration. If you are using this mod do not use that mod.

Short list of current features:
  • Deconstruction recipes updated for common items like tanks/batteries
  • Set the mincondition on most/all consumables to 0.25. You should now never get partial items that are less than %25 as it will be rounded down to zero. Only a few items still produce partial items.
  • Shorter radio range
  • Additional Engineering Headset with longer range but takes batteries
  • Reworked the AutoInjector to use the genesplicer slot
  • Suits now take batteries for lights and long range radios
  • All small arms ammunition produces a full load or full stack unless noted
  • Nearly all items excluding small arms ammunition is deconstructable
  • Container for transporting Volatile Fuel Rods
  • Cargo Scooter has limited ability to carry heavier items
  • Cargo Scooter has a light when in water (to make it easier to find)
  • Additional Harpoon types
  • Additional Shotgun ammo type
  • Additional Coilgun ammo type
  • Additional 40mm EMP Grenade ammo (Updated to use new vanilla EMP Affliction)
  • Additional 40mm Incenium Grenade ammo (Rare since it is extremely OP)
  • Allow the 40MM Grenade Launcher to hold 4 rounds to make it not useless with the new weapons
  • Ruin Artifact Holders can contain artifacts when not doing an artifact mission
  • Ruin Artifacts have stronger effects
  • Additional Unique clown diving mask with unique art and affects (Mother's Tangency)
  • Additional Coil Gun/Double Coil Gun Turrets that greatly increases turret fire rate and power usage
  • Added new Nuclar Laser Turret.
  • Small buff to stun weapons
  • Reverted the last vanilla nerf to the revolver. It was already the worst weapon in the game
  • Added Medic Helmet
  • Added Lever Action Rifle and 30-30 Rounds.
  • Added Cowboy Hat (Has Cowboy Affliction)
  • Replaced the graphics for many types of ammo with better looking versions.
  • Added Mining Laser recipe to Mechanic Miner trait
  • Added Thermal Helmet
  • Added Hammer for destroying things and opening doors
  • Made the Alien Flare buoyant to differentiate it from the normal ones
  • Made flairs very cheap
  • Made Alien Power Cells, Coilgun, Chaingun, flak and Laser ammo boxes combinable and deconstructable into their full ingredents (If not used)
  • Added new alian artifact variant
  • Added Dirtybomb to Military Applications talant since the old talant it was connected to was removed
  • Buff Blooddonor talant to drop 3 blood bags
  • Buff depth charge
  • Added Medical Case that can hold medical items
  • Made loot items like Crawler Mask, Mudraptor Shell and Husk Stinger deconstructable and sellable
  • Husk Stinger has a small chance to cause husk infection on attack
  • Diver remains now deconstructs to 3 items and can produce magnesium
  • Hydroxyapatite now deconstructs into Magnesium as well as Calcium and Phosphorus
  • Allow Exosuit to carry one heavy item (like the cargo scooter) or mountableweapon
  • Made Bandolier take use the bag (tool belt) slot and allow it to carry a mountableweapon so you can put a weapon on your back and still get a few small slots.
  • Removed limit on Security
  • Added new Blood Poisoning affliction
  • Added new storage system

New Afflictions

Sepsis
Sepsis is an illness caused by untreated bleeds, bites and Spinling spikes. Symptoms include Nausea, Organ Damage and blurred vision. If you experience one or more of these symptoms seek immediate attention from a medical professional or bar tender.
Treatments include:
  • Dr. Neon's Healing Tonic
  • Ethanol (Now cheaper and more common)
  • ABX

Cowboy
A chad crew member who doesn't need a helmet to take on the worst of what Europa has in store. Symptoms include %50 stun resistance and %25 faster ranged attack speed.

Mother's Embrace
The Honk Mother will embrace true believers that relieve their true face. (Clown Power + Mother's Tangency or Mother's Providence) Symptoms include %50 Bleeding and Blood loss resistance and increased healing rate for Bleeding and Blood loss.

@Zach The edits to the crafting materials adjusts the stack sizes and adds some custom tags so bots are smarter about placing them. The only down side of overriding them is you will loose the tags.
This mod also contains single item storage cases and bulk items that combines 48 items into a single item that is also stackable to 12. When you want the individual items back you just deconstruct the bulk item. That let's you collect a bunch of stuff with less of the performance hit.
If you're making your own mod you can just copy the /Europa Depths Items/items/materials.xml file and edit the stack sizes to whatever you want.

Also if I may ask - what is the "new storage system" you added/implemented? Is it increasing the stack size to 12? My group has a storage cabinet/etc capacity increase mod that we're looking to use and want to make sure its kosher with this mod

Does this mod change anything related to crafting materials? I see that it increases the stack size to 12 for those, I want to use a mod that increases them to 32 stack size. Is that a safe overwrite with this mod or are other things with crafting materials changed?

@Pedro Alcântara I just posed the new version I have been working on for a while. It removes the custom safety harness for now and totally reworks the bandolier. It also adds a storage system which should help reduce the number of items on the sub late game.

Another Note:
Crawler mask sells for a lower price than it would if you desconstruct it to get the liquid oxgenite and sell it separatedly, There for make the proper calculum of it's desconstructed materials value and add them to crawler mask's price

Smidge small detail, looks like the safety harness hides torso "otherwearables" without hiding the
torso limb, making so that when you wear it, your abs show up a little, not sure if its vanilla or something this mod has done

@Pedro Alcântara Barotraumatic overrides the headset and autoinjectorheadset to add a battery requirement and adjusts the range. As long as Barotraumatic is below this mod you should get their overrides on this overlapping equipment.
