Vector

Description
Vector is a hot planet with vast deserts containing the remains of extinct species. Multiple desert biomes are present along with flourishing oasis' and "polar" oceans supporting long stretches of beaches and life. Beneath the water you will find a fully-custom aquatic biome full of glowing alien foliage.

Planet name: Vector
Recommended Size: 70-100km (70km appears more detailed and has the aquatic foliage peaking out of the water in some areas; While 100km is as high as I would recommend going to avoid too much loss of detail.)
Oxygen: High
Temperature: Warm
Gravity: 2G
Animals: Spiders & Wolves
Biomes: Islands, Polar Beaches, Oasis', Decaying Desert, Barren Desert, Savannahs, Pillared Desert.
Ores: This planet lacks platinum and cobalt can only be found deep in the oceans, but there is uranium and large amounts of gold. Ores on this planet spawn in three variations:
- Desert Veins: Contain large amounts of iron, silicon, & nickel.
- Dead Veins: Contain large amounts of silver, alongside moderate amounts of gold & iron.
- Island Veins: Contain massive amounts of silicon, along with moderate amounts of iron, nickel, & uranium.
- Aquatic Veins: Contain large amounts of silicon, magensium, & small amounts of cobalt.
- Water: Infinite amount of ice via water mod's collection method.

Required Dependencies:
Water Mod: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2200451495&searchtext=water

Recommended Dependencies:
(These are not required but this mod will strongly benefit from their presence)
Apothilight: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2017248228&searchtext=Apothilight
Realistic Skybox: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=685761329&searchtext=realistic+skybox

How To Spawn The Planet
Step 1: Ensure you are in creative mode or press Alt + F10 to enable creative tools.
Step 2: Press Shift + F10 and at the top dropdown selection box select planets. Inside of the menu that pops up choose Octave and select a size to spawn the planet at.
Step 3: Select the Generate Planet button then click where you want the planet to appear.
Step 4: Enjoy the planet!

Known issues: While in space, the planet will appear to be completely submerged in water. This is an issue with the water mod that I do not know how or if I can fix.

Is it at all possible for a lower G version of this, say 1-1.2g's?
Love the world, want it as a home, but 2g's kinda makes it hard to live in

Its the radius /wradius [number]

the weather is the same as on the vanilla desert planet. i placed the ore veins with 70km size planet in-mind, but going up to 100km would only increase the distance between them so shouldnt be a problem if you like them to be far apart.

Very nice, I was looking for a planet with a good challenge. This look quite promising.

Quick questions: The temperature is warm but do you have any type of weather on it?

My ideal would be a type of weather that could damage grids or players in the dead vein biome to make it almost impossible to stay in it for a long period of time. (maybe some type of sandstorms that would slowly eat away grids and health).

And how far are the ore veins from each other ?( I was thinking of using it at 100KM size planet)
are they a few hundred meters away or (I hope) multiple Km

Great! Thank you very much

-Added aquatic veins deep in the ocean that contain cobalt. This should encourage deep underwater mining operations.
Apothicon  [author] 23 Jun, 2022 @ 1:30pm
Hmm maybe there could be some cobalt deep under the ocean.

What I meant was ore veins under the ocean. I'm imagining mining with a marine mining carrier or something like that

@Grebanton1234 most of the uranium containing veins are on the beaches or islands of the polar oceans. They are also deep. This means that you will most likely encounter water while mining for uranium.

I really like the idea of having different ore veins per biome. Though would it be possible to limit some ore veins to be under water only? Because there isnt really a reason to mine underwater using water mod
