Roark, the grizzly grappler, is ready to rumble in Rivals of Aether! Heavily inspired by 3rd strike Alex, Roark is a powerful and high flying heavyweight with a multitude of grabs and commanding normals to KO his opponents. Roark may be slow on his feet, but once he gets in, there's no escape.

Nspecial: Ursine bomber
--------------------------------------------------------

Ursine Bomber is a powerful command grab that when landed, has Roark leap into the air with his opponent before slamming them back down.

Fspecial: Salmon Slicer
--------------------------------------------------------

Salmon slicer is an advancing slash chop that knocks opponents away. This attack has armor on startup, so it can be used to power through your opponents offense.

Dspecial: Smashing suplex/Dynamite drop
--------------------------------------------------------

Smashing suplex is command grab that has Roark heave his opponent behind him and slam them down. In the air, this attack becomes Dynamite drop; a command grab that has Roark grab his opponent mid air and then plunge straight down.

Uspecial: Deadly knee drop
--------------------------------------------------------

Deadly knee drop is an upward lunging command grab. If Roark hits an opponent on his ascension, he will capture them and bring them down to the ground with him.

Unique Mechanic: Super meter
--------------------------------------------------------


Roark's super meter can perform many things. Firstly, the meter builds by dealing damage to opponents, with PARRYING an attack successfully building a substantial amount of meter. When the super meter has reached a quarter of its length, Roark can perform EX moves by pressing the SHIELD button shortly after performing a special move. The benefits of these enhanced specials are:

Nspecial: Gains armor on startup and deals more damage and knockback

Fspecial: Hits multiple times and is armored throughout the entire attack.

Dspecial: Deals much more damage and knockback.

Uspecial: Deals more damage and knockback in addition to going much higher than the regular version.

When Roark's super meter is full, he can perform his selected super art by pressing the ATTACK and SPECIAL button in unison.

At the start of each match, Roark can select one of 3 different super arts by pressing either left, up, or right on the joystick. These supers have varying range, power, and effects on meter gain, so choose wisely based on your needs and character match up. The super arts include:

Super art l: "Bomber Combination" A series of suplexes culminating in an explosive Ursine bomber. Builds meter the slowest of all super arts.

Super art ll: "Atomic Headbutt" A series of consecutive headbutts culminating in final explosive headbutt that ignites opponents.

Super art lll: "Mauling Frenzy" A rapid flurry of slash chops and punches ending in a powerful suplex.
